I... don't know what to say.

A primary school boy with his elder brother, a secondary school boy, boarded the bus. They were very loud and marched straight to the back of the bus. Suddenly, they started singing hokkien songs. HOKKIEN SONGS!!

O_o"

On another bus trip, I happened to sit beside a guy. He looks like he's 25++ years old. I sort of saw him holding on to some equipment. Judging from his looks, I thought it's a PDA. I was curious kpo so I peeped. He was playing Pokemon on Gameboy!!!

O_o"

I went to Guardian to buy my moisturiser. As usual, those promoters will promote all kinds of products even though you stated that you only want your moisturiser. So, she handed a bottle to me and said, "This! Very good! Can remove eyes and face!"

O_o"

No thanks. Perhaps I need to remove my makeup more than I need to remove my eyes and face.

A pretty lousy 偶像剧 idea.

Yesterday I had a long chat with Yujie. It was very very enjoyable because it felt real great to share my feelings. I mean, my feelings ah, are bottled up for too long a time already and I need somewhere to vent my emotions. :)

I saw a keychain at Minitoons which looks like this: Me: Hey, what is this for?
Yujie: For you to put the picture of the guy you like lor.
Me: Orh...

So it's supposed to work this way: I forgot who said what exactly but we suggested ways to put the pictures and...

"Why not put a picture of that special him and show it to him?"

"Hmm, why not purposely show but act as if you did it accidentally and say something like: Oh, you're not supposed to see this!"

For example, you can accidentally drop it on the ground when he happens to pass by and the thing will pop open, revealing his lovely face. And he'll be damn shock to see his picture in a heart-shaped keychain which belongs to you.

So you pounce on the keychain (note that you shouldn't pounce too quickly so that he can have a chance to pick it up before you do) and try to hide it from him. If he got it, you try to take but don't take it back. You must let him see it clearly and let him confirm that the guy in the picture is indeed him.

He'll be awkward and perhaps utter a long "huh..." So you should act innocent and say something along these lines: "No, I don't mean it to be that way. I.. You.. You are not supposed to see this!"

Now try to make your eyes tear a little (eyemo or poking your own eyes) and then look at him with super-痴情-I-love-you-but-don't-dare-to-love-you" look. You must make sure that he sees this! Then you will quickly turn away and run off in the another direction.

It would be good if your hair is soft because your soft hair will flip around as you run off. Don't run too fast okay. This will make sure that he can catch up with you. Even if the guy you like is very fit, you must also run slowly okay! And oh, I will let you decide if you want to leave the keychain with him or to snatch it from him.

The best thing to do is to leave it with him.

Why? Because he'll take it out from his pocket when he gets home at night. Then he'll reflect and recall about how nice you've been (well, if you're a bad girl then whatever you did above would be pretty useless), how supportive you've been, how sweet you've been. He'll then conclude that he is blind because he didn't notice such a nice girl who has all along stood around him waiting to be noticed.

The next day, he'll wait for you (below HDB flat or at the school entrance or whatever place la) and smile at you while you give him a blur-what-are-you-doing-here look.

Continue the story yourself.

Yujie, as I typed the above story, more ideas came out of my brain and muahahahahahaha.. Now it sounds so fluent and all. I think only girls will understand what I am saying above. Hoho!

People who haven't finish exams, 加油 okay!!

P/S: I did something good and bad yesterday. I feel so bad now.

Everybody jiayou!!

wei wei! dun say that! aiyoo.. i think ahh, u can find ur passion. it's jus tt it might take some time..

for me, i find inspiration in music and lyrics really like inspire me alot. an example would be dass du lebst by tom albrecht. rem tt day i told u wad the lyrics meant? it brought me thru my difficult days when i felt that i have no value in this world. even tho it took me a damn long time. :(

well well, i was looking thru some V6 videos and i found this line whh sounds so nice.

"without losing our passion, we'll be able to shine."

actually i seem to be quite sure of what i like and want in life but im still a lil not sure.. so haha.. zou yi bu suan yi bu loo... and hmm, dun get impatient.. jus look out for ur passion. haa. even if ur passion is not sth great. at least, its great to u and.. dun care abt grades.. jus do wad u want and like. that's wad my fren jus told me on friday when i was complaining abt smart ppl i met.

hey dear gal..

i agree, passion more impt than grades. yeah it has to fit w reality, but i think u underestimate yrself *hugs*

being in a helping profession is more than just being able to score for an exam...what really matters is the compassion and the genuine desire to help, to make a difference, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant...and grades dont necessarily translate into those. in fact, they seldom do.

we need to go out and try (the practical aspect) before we can know what we really want to do with out life...not sure what she means by 'the days i felt i have no value in the world' but i felt like that last time too...in fact, sometimes i still feel like that...just that i dont show it. im actualy quite an insecure person ha. mayb tht's partly why i go into the sw field too. i also dont know...after this module i think im one of those adolescents who nevr fully resolved the identity vs identity crisis thing.

anyway so dont ever give up! dont measure your worth thru this. ure a great person :)

V6 (Music Station) - Dasenai Tegami.

Woot! Found another V6 video. Love this song. :)

And oh, Junichi plays piano!

Update on Joan.

She sent me a PERSONAL email to show her sincerity in sharing with me, her eating experience in Germany.

And she included photos too.

What an attempt to sia2 me.

(Sorry, spelling error.)

By the way, I really appreciate your email. I am very happy to receive an email from you. At least I know you thought of me in Germany. Haa. Are you really going to cook for me when you come back? Don't say say only hor. I want real food!! Spargels plus Würste! :P

Some interesting findings from readings.

What's wrong with having adequate knowledge about something which is integral in human life?
Honestly, I really think it's important to know these stuff after attending SW3216.

"I don't like this A in sex education!"

And,

I like this:

Stereotype of "Storm and Stress" (a term coined by Stanley Hall) being challenged.

After reading Santrock, I got some names into my head at least.

.

.

Oops.I am guilty of being a student with a helpless orientation.

Alright. I shall go burn all my notes now!

The OH SO BORING post-examinations post..

Examination preparation was bad, very bad. There were moments when I was very inspired and of course, there were also moments when I was totally shagged and erm, day-dreamed. It was basically a period of madness for the past two weeks. And I've UNsuccessfully refrained from blogging. Haa, great. Now I'll see how I perform when I can't even finish my main readings. Great.

My first paper was PR2202, Perfumes and Cosmetics. I finished reading the Cosmetics lecture notes long time ago as I was very enthusiastic but I took a long time to finish up the Perfumes lecture notes because they were so boring. All those scientific stuff completely don't make sense to me. Heng I S/U-ed it!

SW2101 was bad too. I think I gave myself too much pressure or rather, being in both of Timothy Sim's classes was stressful. He is a very particular and critical person. And he sort of indirectly suan-ed me so, I have rather mixed feelings for him. On one hand, I respected him a lot for his vast knowledge and experience, but on the other, I felt rather inferior for asking him a question (which according to him) was redundant. Alright I guess it's okay. It's over and I shall pray that I get a B- at least!! No C!!

HY2247 was GREAT~! I spotted a question and was happy for the next few days after the paper. :D I had a great discussion with Lay Peng and Tiffany as well.

SW3216 was okay. I spent two whole days with Santrock and yet, I couldn't remember all those small little details for the MCQ questions. Honestly, I think it's okay because all the feedback I overheard heard was negative. My essay was not exactly brilliant but acceptable under the straining conditions then (with less than 45 minutes).

Now I am really looking forward to freedom, only one week of freedom though. My attachment starts on 8th May. I will try to (try only la) do some research on my agency and read up more about working with youths. I am definitely excited for it but I am really worried because I am not a wonderful SW student and my concepts are still not there. I definitely need all the brushing up. Boo.

I will try to heed Sharifah's advice. As long as I benefit and learn from my social work classes, I should be satisfied.

For my German, I am considering the idea of revising, going through some past year German projects done by my seniors and reading through the whole German-English Dictionary. Consider only la. :X

Then, in that precious free week, I would meet up with friends but I don't think too many because I would like to spend some time with myself and my family, bring my mum to Ricetable as planned months ago and of course, learn to cook a little. I always say this every semester but I don't learn properly every semester so my mum's pretty sick of hearing me saying, "I want to learn cooking lehhh.."
BUT,
one thing that I'll definitely do is to write a letter to the Sagemanns. I miss them!

That's Herr Sagemann, me, Frau Sagemann and Jialing.

I wonder how they're doing. I miss them so much! :'(

坚持到底!

I am so so so so so so TIRED!

I chiong-ed to school at 9am, grabbed Santrock, had a lunch break with Sharifah, grabbed Santrock again, renewed loan for Santrock, read Santrock, renewed loan for Santrock, ran around BF shelves to find some books (excuse to move around or else I'll rot in my seat), read Santrock, went for tea break, grabbed Santrock, read Santrock, renewed loan for Santrock, read Santrock all the way till 8pm.

*glance around*

There's only a girl left sitting behind me. I got myself a very terrible headache. Time to go home. :(

The bus took a long time to come. I sat at the terminal alone and thought about a lot of things. Travelling alone and at night is a rather calming or peaceful process for me. I tend to think a lot, about what I'd done for the day, what I want to do tomorrow and what I hope to do in the future. Glancing around, I saw some guys playing ball games at the court and recalled something which I shouldn't have. My brain seemed to be dancing around in my skull. I think it's just tired. I suddenly had the urge to do something but why don't I have the ability to do it anymore?
.
.
.
I need a good cry, a good hug and a good laugh.

Yesterday, Serene bought me this:
Been wanting to try it! Thanks girl! (Kit Kat) Kitto Katsu means sure win! So, I think I have an excuse to be happier?

Both me and Rebecca love this! :)

:D-ing all night long..

It was so cool to be able to see Joan via webcam!! :) She's doing fine, so that's good for her!

She is about to buy me my Radio Tom!!

And she cooked SPARGELS!!!!

Joan, paiseh ah, use your picture to show them how fat the Spargels are.

Spargels=Asparagus. In between May and June, there'll be juicy fat white Spargels all around Germany (I think so) and they taste real good (that is if you like vegetables) with butter, melting butter. Woooo.. A MUST EAT dish in Germany! Hmm, maybe I'll do a post on German food during the holidays. I realise my entries during my stay in Germany were like everywhere with very brief descriptions of pictures only. I am thinking of doing a special post of AJ life too. :D

Alright back to Santrock. Boo. I'll camp in school tomorrow from 8am to 8pm. Anyone wants to join me? :(

Nothing beats..

having an open book examination and being able to spot questions successfully!!

WOO-HOO!

I was practically copying out from the essay outline which I drew for my spotted topic of comparision between ancient and modern sports. The discussion I had with Lay Peng and Tiffany actually helped me to add more points to my outline! YES!!

I met Tiffany at 1pm and we went to PGP to meet Lay Peng, to discuss our ideas and queries and spotted examination questions. It feels so great! We discussed quite intensively, filled in gaps of knowledge (think I was the one who benefitted the most! :X) and had little breaks as well. I love discussions. They are brain-stimulating and well, it just simply feels great to be able to discuss stuff and learn about how other people view issues. But sadly, not everyone wants and is willing to discuss. Of course I know I can't force people to discuss questions with me but at least I hope they understand my rationale. Sigh.

Anyway, we stole Lay Peng's boyfriend's special M&M's. :)

Aren't the colours of these M&M's special?? I love the blue and the brown ones!

Tiffany, Lay Peng and Me! :)

I got to know Tiffany first from SW3216. Even though she's a year3 student, she's been very friendly, approachable and helpful. No offense but other year3 students either seem fierce or unapproachable or simply got that "Don't mess with me" or "I am a smart SW student" look. Yeah. She's nice~

I got to know Lay Peng during year1, semester1, from my South Asian group. She's straightforward, nice, helpful and not to mention, pretty as well! I can sense people drooling already. But anyway, I am glad that I met her again in this module!! She's brought quite a lot of fun and laughter to me.

If not for the two of them, HY2247 would seem shitty all the way from day 1 till the end, which is today. Thanks for taking this module with me (even though we didn't intentionally bidded for this module together) !

V6's Orange MV.

Note: Watch only if you're interested.

In this MV, you can see both the cool side and funny side of V6. I am not sure if you would enjoy but I sure enjoyed! :) And, look out for Junichi who's the beggar. Damn cute! One bad point about this video is that IT IS NOT THE WHOLE VIDEO! :(

P/S: I watched clips of the MV a few months ago and didn't expect to find it in YouTube! :D

YouTube is so cool!

There's always a time when a girl loves some boyband..

I used to like a lot of boybands. You name it, I like(d) it.

N' Sync,Backstreet Boys,
98 Degrees,
Westlife,
5566,
Kinki Kids,
and the list goes on...

But there's always this special one which I love so much...........

V6!!!

I love Junichi while Grace loves the skinny skinny guy (I don't even know his name). Do you still like them, Grace? While I support V6, Teng Guan would always say Arashi is the best and his Ayumi Hamasaki is the goddess of all goddesses. Anyway, I am still yaya about V6 but I couldn't explain why. They're just cute in a certain way. In a way, they're like 5566, they bring joy to me.

Watch the skit and perhaps, you'll get what I mean.

Damn hilarious skit: "Cinderella"

I shall post some 5566 clips which I took myself soon~!

OPPORTUNITY IS NOW HERE?

I see the former first.. Grrrr.. HOW CAN I?!?!?!

(from SW2101 Textbook)

Energized.

I had my PR2202 paper today. It assured me that my choice to be an arts student is correct. Serene suggested that we study in Central Library after the paper. I am glad I really did.

I was supposed to collect my SW2101 paper from Dr Timothy Sim but... Anyway, I saw the Teaching Excellence Award poster (but I think its not of the current year because we've just submitted our votes not long ago?) and I saw Herr Chan's picture! *beams* And on my way back to Library, I saw Herr Chan!!! :D I am so happpppyyyyyyyyyyy...

Oh, on my way up to Department of Social Work (Level 4 of AS6), I wondered why the Department of Psychology is on level 3 and ours is on level 4. The following sentence might be wrong but it's only my personal opinion. Perhaps, we, Social Work Majors have to go the extra mile, to reach out to those who need us. Hmm, seems like I'm inferring too much but think about it! Doesn't it sound a little true?

Just cleared a big big doubt of mine with the help of a friend. Thank you~ You know who you are!! :)

Still got 3 more papers to go. 加油!!

PLANETARIUM by Ai Otsuka.. HYD Ending Song.

I softly whispered a wish to a shooting star..

But I want to cry..

My thoughts won't reach up there, not to this sky..

I just found videos of HYD on YouTube!! Ahhh!! I am going to watch them ALL after my examinations. Actually I have a lot of things to do!! Firstly, I got to buy a new pair of spectacles, donate blood, and shop for some essential stuff and bahhh, can't wait for the stupid examinations to end! :D

Yeah!

Grace said she can help me take over Benjamin and Christopher! Phew. I feel less pressurised now. Ben and Chris' mum has been very kind towards me and I feel guilty for not being able to continue the tuition till they finish their examinations.

Exam's killing me. I am almost half-dead. I feel like puking and sleeping whenever I see my piles of notes. Not only a pile, but piles. X(

Shit.

I was having a chat with this funny friend of mine when suddenly she said..

(BOLD: My Friend)

i think i go shit first
i leave this thing here ba

erm
wow u so straightforward ah
hahaha
erm go go

erm...
i shall excuse myself to go to the bathroom and whatever i do in there i think it's best for you not to know

Have a good journey and I shall see you again next semester!

My University friend cum German oral mate for two semesters cum German classmate who always chop seat for me is leaving for Germany tomorrow.Joan and me. (Yeah, I look bald.)

Let's see, I shall dedicate this entry to you, Joan.
I first met this girl in my German 1 tutorial class. We didn't really talk then. Then I remembered when I tried to chat with her along the AS1 walkway, she gave me a weird stare before talking to me.

Then I met this girl in German 3 class. We decided to be oral partners. I also don't understand why we chose to partner each other muahahahahahahaha.. But anyway, this girl was quite cooperative in arranging practice time with me. We scraped through our orals after a lot of practices in the Refreshment Area. We talked about a lot of different things in German. It was really really fun to jus randomly speak in German without having to think about grammer and sentence structure. Well, we tried to be correct of course! And we even made a fool out of ourselves by speaking lousy german infront of native Germans!! *bite nails*

This semester, we happened to be in the same class because she chose this class and I have no choice but to take this class. (Luckily my SW2101 class clashed with the normal German 4 class! After seeing such a happy me in school, a lot of people said so too.) I was very touched because this girl always chop seat for me. Every lesson, without fail.

Sometimes, when we discuss our Referat, we tend to have different views but the overall process of working out the Powerpoint and the script and the Thesenpapier was very fun and memorable indeed. I am thankful to have you do the Referat with me. :)

Well well, I sent a sms too early. Silly me. So I shall type some well wishes here instead.

祝你一路顺风 and I hope you'll enjoy your exchange and have loads of fun there! :D Eat all the Portofino, eat all the Spargels, eat all the Wurstchen! Sigh, I have to wait till 2010.

P/S: Take care and don't sleep too late. Eat more vegetables and oops, I'm sounding like a mother, but have you packed finished?!

Sonntag, April 16, 2006

Kept smiling at this..

Isn't this lovely? :)

I went to Breadtalk and saw a few of these "icecream cones" and I (have no idea why) was smiling happily at them. Then, the man at the counter smiled at me. Hmm, maybe I look idiotic smiling at some bread. :X

Cindy drew something for all of you..

Samstag, April 15, 2006

Sigh. Referat grade is disappointing.

Tommy's here to cheer me on and wish me a good day! YeAh~!

Actually I like guys clean shaven. But Tommy is the only exception.. Ausnahme, ausnahme..!! At the beginning he actually wished you good day and introduced himself. This video might be very boliao because it's all about him sitting on a chair but he's my Tommy, so it's special! Wahahahahaha.. I am really looking forward to getting his album from Germany, courtesy of Joan.. Joan, I hope you remember to get me his album!! :D :D :D

Prisoners of War game..

I browsed through some Olfactory Website and came across this!

Very interesting content. Try it and see if you know the Geneva Conventions well! You can learn more about POWs and the construction of the camp and all. Very informative, I must say, because I am a kuku about such stuff. I would highly recommend people who like this topic to try out this short game which takes only 10 minutes.

Erm, according to the game, I am considered a sadistic swine. :(

Freitag, April 14, 2006

Boo.

I don't know what I've been doing for the whole semester. No doubt I am doing the modules I like (except for PR2202 and HY2247), but I just can't finish my readings in normal school term and now I have to mug but don't feel like mugging because I am plain sian. And I can't stay sian because there're friends around who're sian-er than me and I need to cheer them on! So I shall just hang in there, read as much as possible. What a sucky week ahead.

On a lighter note, I met Chichang in the deserted Arts Canteen today. He is still so lame. He mentioned about my dear Tommy so I went on and digressed how much I love him and that I am still listening to his album nowadays even though it's been a year. The conversation was something like this...

Chichang: Yeah. I know.
Cindy: HOW YOU KNOW?
Chichang: Because I was there when you bought the CD in HMV.
Cindy: (!)

In any case, you're WRONG, Chichang! I bought my Tommy's album in Germany, Muenster, I think at either Karlstadt or Kaufhaus (forgot which one exactly). When I got back to Singapore, I tried to look for german albums and cannot even find one! So, that's why I'm getting Joan to help me buy Radio Tom. You bo shim people out there! :(

Ahhhhhh~!!!!
Yeah, I am a little happier now. Shall hit the books soon again! :)

Donnerstag, April 13, 2006

The madness continues..

I LOVE GERMAN-LEARNING!

Okay. Back to studies.

Referat-German Oral Presentation 2..

Let's take a look at the pictures first!

Erm, oops. This was last Friday's Referat Session. Haa. That's San Min and Ying Ying in the picture (and of course Herr Chan!). Guys in my class crapping away. Ivan, Siwei, Yucheng and Tengwen.

Firstly, Chong Wee and Jie Min (finally I remember his name!)'s Referat about some code thingy. Anyway, I must thank Chong Wee for helping us to transfer our two Goebbels clips from Joan's portable hard-drive to my thumb-drive. And he drove us from AS7 to YIH. Muahahahahaha.. Vielen Dank!

Next up, Xinli and Junwei. They came up with very cute games using their programming thingy. 佩服!

Xinli showed us a bread board and said "Es sieht kompliziert aus..... Aber das ist O.K." And I was like laughing my head off. I think the whole class laughed. Cute.

Then, Ivan, Yucheng and Tengwen. Ivan's way of demonstrating the movement of the airplane was damn funny. Erm, I didn't manage to take any picture as I was too engrossed with taking videos. :X

Next is me and Joan la...

Speaking of "la"s, two of my classmates actually "la" loudly when they were presenting their Referats. Ermmm. And I heard Siwei said it's Denglish or something along those lines. Cheeky.

Anyway, we prepared our scripts long time ago. We spent A LOT OF time editing it. We received help from Siwei. We just keep editing and editing.. From yesterday till today's 6pm, the only thing I looked at is the Referat script and the Powerpoint. We were sort of reciting but I guess it's okay because Siwei was reciting last week too. :x

Again, I must stress that Siwei is very helpful. 真的很谢谢你!

Vielen vielen vielen Dank!

And, your handwriting looks like my elder brother's handwriting. Hee, which is nice, but still not as nice as Jiemin's. Wahahahahaha. :X

Charles suggested that we go for dinner together in Munchie Monkey. Woo-hoo!

The girls, thinking of what to eat.

Some crazy photos I took.

..My classmates..

Ahhhhhh.. Ich bin sehr gluecklich!

...
Don't really know how to describe how I feel now. It's really a wonderful feeling. I love Herr Chan and his lessons, the lameness in the guys and the cute little girls chat I had with some girls.

At first, I wasn't exactly happy to be in this class. Afterall, the people there are going for exchange and I am not planning to go for any. Why should I be in this class at all? I felt a little left out at times but I've learned a lot in this class. I was required to do a lot of homework, but I enjoyed doing them. Like what Herr Chan said, I am usually very tired at the end of the day at 6pm. And you might think "Har~! You still have German class?!" But amazingly, German class always don't seem to bore me. I've never fell asleep in German class before and I am always very entertained. When Herr Chan said he's always energized during German classes even though it's at 6pm, I felt a strong urge to shout "ME TOO!!"

Perhaps this is what you call passion.

I've not been scoring very well for German. Maximum grade so far is only B+. I disapprove of those who let go of German when they think that German affects their straight As and their darling CAP score. I believe that, when you want to pursue the things you love, you have to let go of other things. I love German and I am glad that I took up to level 4. I am really proud of my achievement.

From someone who is ignorant about Germany and German, I've grown into someone who is totally ding dong about German, mad over anything which is in German or comes from Germany. I even planned to take German 5 and 6! I mean, I already thought of this when I was taking German 2. (You can ask Jialing to verify.)

Other than personal gratification, I have gained a lot of precious friendships from my german classes, including my darling 6 Beauties, stupid Alvin and Victor. And of course, a lot of nice people too! (Erm, it's quite obvious because I'll keep mentioning the people I like. :))

And Herr Chan said he's glad that he taught me and Xinli this semester. I am very glad to have you again too, Herr Chan! No doubt that he's the best teacher in NUS. :D

I AM THE HAPPIEST GIRL IN THE WHOLE WORLD! :D

German for Academic Purposes Lecture Group 1..

I requested for a class photo. And someone came up with the idea of standing on the "stage" in Munchie Monkey. It feels like Kindergarten! Remember the times when we were asked to tie our hair properly (for girls only of course) and wear our uniforms smartly? And oh, Kindergarten is a german word. It means children's garden. :D

Dienstag, April 11, 2006

Hoho!

Wahahahahaha.. I love this scene the most! This particular scene when Jung Sook dropped her student badge in Uncle's house and he specially went to her school to return her the badge. The teacher, who is miserably single, is jealous when she finds out that Jung Sook is going to get married. Enjoy! :)

Lazy to type so here are the pictures! :)

..Last Friday.. My darling SW girls.

..Yesterday..

Haribo macht Kinder froh! Danke~

Dear Ying Fong, me and Frau Edwerthart (sp?), my German 4 tutor.

Ahhhh.. she blinked!

Erm, I clipped my fringe because of unforeseen circumstances. Don't ask! :X

..Today..

Wise to have two boyfriends at a time. Gee.

Cute little "Ding", younger sister of Benjamin and Christopher.

Today Julia came to NUS! :)

Economics notes which look so stressful with Julia's scribblings all over.

For people who are using makeup.

I've been doing some revision PR2202 (Cosmetics and Perfumes) and (wahahahaha) went online to check the shelf life of cosmetics. Firstly, for revision (yeah, right!) and secondly, for the benefit of my girlfriends who apply makeup.

I realise I should throw away my long-long-time-ago-bought mascara. I bought it when I just graduated from JC because my uncle insisted that with mascara, my eyes would look lovely. So I bought it at $12 plus, I think. But I don't like to apply it because...

I don't have the skill of applying it,
it's sticky --> uncomfortable,
by mid-day it's gone! Boo.

Anyway, that's like TWO FREAKING YEARS liao!! I should have thrown it away long time ago! Look at the shelf life of mascara~!!! *screams*

.
.
.
Mascara: 3-6 months (GOSH!)

Moisturizer: 3 months to a year

Oil-free foundation: 1 year

Products with SPF: 1 season

Blush or foundation sponges: 1 week

Concealer: 12-18 months

Powder foundation or blush: 2 years

Eyeshadow: powder, 2 years; cream, 12-18 months

Eyeliner: 2 years

Lip liner: 2 years

Lipstick: 2 years

Lip gloss: up to 2 years

Fragrance: up to 2 years

So, my darling girls, please take note and don't use "expired" makeup!

I took a picture with Herr Chan!

Ahhh.. both of us look so sleepy!! :(

But never mind la.

Herr Chan is a marvellous teacher. He prepares well for each and every lesson. He make sures that in every lesson, we're seated in a circle, that is to ensure that we cannot hide and can communicate more easily with each other. Seriously, I think sitting in a circle is really good and I totally love it! In addition, he puts in great effort to help localise german-learning. For example, he gives a lot of examples, local examples. One of them being the "Ivan is the man, who is well-known" sentence. That was used for our grammer learning for Relativsatz. Okay, I seem to be undermining his skills by stating only one example. But he's really good! German learners should really go for his lessons. You'll find a big difference between him and the other german teachers. (By the way, he's the director of Centre for Language Studies!)

One (wish) down. Many to go.

Woo-Hoo!

With YouTube, I guarantee more entertaining video clips~!

Last month, on the 18th, I went to Batam with my brother and mum. It's not a very marvelous trip but what's important is the things I'd learned from my brother and the family bonding which took place. Erm, anyway, we watched some short performances too.

Here's presenting to you the Batam Men Wonders Clips! There are 3 of them. Click and enjoy!

:D

Glass Chips Eating..
P/S: Notice that there's a guy wearing blue walking pass RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME when I was taking this video. At that time, I was holding up my camera and it's very obvious that I was taking a video. This guy 敢敢 walk right in front of me because he wanted to take a video too. Cannot be forgiven. Your video-camera bigger than mine then win me le lah? How can there be such an irritating person existing in this world? If he happened to read this, my message to him will be: You know, if I get to see you again, I won't hesitate to throw my slipper at you, you stupid inconsiderate gong!

Charcoal Eating..
Look out for the smoke coming out of the guy's mouth. I was rather shock la. Duh.

Coconut Peeling..
He practically peeled the outer husk of the coconut with his teeth!!

You might have seen these before but this is my first time seeing such stuff. So 厉害!
P/S: I tried to put all videos here but I notice it takes a rather long time to load everything, so you all to click on the individual link yourself. I will only post videos relevant to my recent blog posts. For past video shots, I'll just pose the links.
...
I was falling asleep again while studying (typical) and a video of my brother singing KTV perked me up like no one's business. Wahahahaha.. I love videos! They really capture the essence of memories and memories are supported by pictures. It's wonderful to have my BaoBei2! :D

Referat-German Oral Presentation 1..

Some of the groups presented on very sciency stuff and I got totally gong. Some use simpler terms and enabled our understanding (which is very good). Some are very entertaining.

Presenting to you the "Die Partei hat immer recht" song!

* später durch "Lenin" ersetzt

That's the song which tickled me a lot. :D
(And you can hear that the whole class was tickled too!)

By the way, its part of Siwei and Najib's Referat.

So, me and Joan have decided to work hard for it. We must jiayou!

What topic are we doing leh? It's a top-secret! Will be revealed next Wednesday so stay tuned!

FASS Day.

Seems like I am quite hot.

FASS Day is on the 20th. Timothy Sim already tried to get us to sign up to help him out in the Social Work booth. But I thought I would give it some thought first before plunging myself into the big thing because I think I would be terribly lonesome if I were to go alone.

Today, Herr Chan asked me specially if I can make it for the german booth. Erm. Actually to be honest, I would choose German over Social Work. But can I attend both at different times because I am simply proud of these two things which I am both involved in?? :D

I am just being greedy.

Anybody wants to join me? We might have (attachment) to work but according to Timothy, we might be able to see a lot of "big" people there or as and when we run errands for him. For german booth, I just want to spread my joy of learning german to the other people.

Anybody keen on joining please tell me asap because it might affect my decision of choosing which one to attend to!

Experienced Serenity on Serene's Birthday..

Backstage Scenes

On Wednesday (our lunchy day), Serene went to the toilet and I quickly passed the card to Ming En. As my dear En En was decorating happily, Serene came back and she scrambled to keep the card. Muahahahaha..

(Can you imagine while she scrambled to hide the card, I was still snapping pictures happily?)

For the Birthday Girl

The card. 'Bought' by me. (Only Reb knows what I mean. heh.)

Mostly decorated by smarty Rebecca.

The cheese cake bought by me! :D

The present chosen by Ming En.

The People

Of course, presenting to you my three darlings from NUS, Social Work Department. :)

Rebecca tsk-ing away (at me!), Ming En dreaming, Serene being very elated, and lastly Reb and me! :D

Celebration Proper

Ming En had to go for a project meeting so we have to quickly light the candles and all.

Here's the cake with two big candles and one small one.

(Moist and very very nice Cheesy Cake!! :D

Here's the Birthday Girl.

We sang the birthday songs and ate the cake. It's damn nice!!

(Obviously, you can get it in Bread Talk.) You should try!

...

Hope you had a nice day, Serene! :)

Here's the Birthday song we sang for her~

P/S: Reb, you still owe me the group picture. Heh.
