Bahhhh...

Just had my second German Semester Test.
Listening was bad. The woman was speaking like a ICE. And the second one, I can't even figure who how many people were speaking. Oh gosh. Erm, person who compiled the listening exercise, can you make sure that the voices you use will sound very different if they were to represent different people?? You know how horrible it is to strain one's neck to listen out for details?

*freak out*

I was so worried about the long text that I would most probably see and then, feel drowsy after seeing. But, today's text was alright. It was about having naps. Good la. I love naps. I was answering the Comprehension questions diligently and I think I took quite a long time. I peeped at Siwei and Xinli who were infront of me and oh damn, they're doing the Grammer questions already! (But actually, they did the grammer first before comprehension.) So I scribbled, whatever I think is correct, furiously on the test paper.

Next I peeped at Joan. She's one page faster than me. Cham la! I quickly bia through that page and jumped right into another page and then, caught up with her but still had around two pages left.

Then Herr Chan said the deadly line.

"Sie haben die letzten zehn Minuten."

WAHKAO. I still got two to three pages not done and I only have ten minutes? NUR ZEHN MINUTEN?? I tell myself not to ganjiong and took deep breaths while doing my paper. It was such a horrible feeling!! It's feels like some monster chasing after you and yet you have to be calm? Bleah. Horrible description. Anyway, I chiong through everything and filled in any words which came to my mind for Cloze Passage and *done*.

I totally forgot how to construct Konjuntiv II sentences and that part surely gone case liao la!!! OH GOSH!!

One thing I hate about this paper is the damn long sentences. They actually give me this queasy feeling, which made known sentences into unknown, clear-minded people into blur-blur people. German long sentences!!!!! Gahhhh, give me the thrills.

Please allow me to get at least a B-..........

Yummy-licious! (Part II)

Mummy made Tom Yam Soup today!! YOU'RE THE BEST! :D

Nice nice side dishes!

Not to forget my favourite 汤包! :)

Hoho, a few days ago I forced-tied Xinyi's hair and made a great effort before she's willing to let me take a picture of her. Well, you can see her sian face from the pictures. Muahahahaha.. :P

Nice mah. Right??

The Wild Berry one is not as good as the Pistachio one. But, chin cai la.

Freak(s).

Met a kuku early in the morning. I was so damn gek okay! I have taken 189 for such a damn long time almost every other day and there's always certain bus drivers who always drive me a little crazy, as in real crazy.

Some drivers just swerve at whatever speed, whatever direction they like. They are like, so not thoughtful. Maybe you'd say that I'm niao but hello, I've had nice bus journeys whereby the driver would actually drive in a nice way such that I won't feel drowsy at all (even when I read my notes!). Most importantly, nice drivers wont make me wobble my way to school. What do I mean by ''wobble''? Those irritating drivers would actually drive in a way which will make your body move around in all sorts of direction-front, left, right and then throw you all the way to the back of the seat. Even though I am not very slim, I can already feel the impact of being thrown around. Why? Horrible driving skills.

Some drivers would actually ensure that as many people as possible will be able to board the bus and thus, won't be late for school and work. I even have a favourite driver now. :) BUT, some drivers just drive past the bus stop without glancing at the poor people who're waiting anxiously for their bus. Personally, I encountered a "WORST" scenario. If the bus just passed by the bus stop without stopping, okay! But, there was once when the bus actually stopped to let people alight and then drove away quickly as if I would burn the bus. When I see people alighting, I was actually quite happy because that would mean that I have a chance of boarding the bus but... but... the bus actually went off (!!!) with me trailing behind like machiam Dao Ming Si chasing after Shan Cai in HYD Taiwan version. It was real pathetic because the people on the bus can actually see me running like a ding dong. We already know that most Singaporeans are apathetic so let's forget about the possibility of a nice soul who'd ask the bus driver to stop the bus and let that poor girl to go school on time. But I think the bus driver sees me lor. (I don't care. I insist that he saw me.)

Alright, back to the kuku which I met today. My ezlink card has no more value (urgh. again!) and thus, I have to use coins which seems real pathetic. I put $1, which should be sufficient for the bus ride to school. Throughout the whole journey, I could sense that the bus rider was staring at me as if I ate his wife (I don't know how else to describe the anger in his eyes). And when the bus reached Ginza Market, he pointed at me and said, "You! You! Come here!" He said I did not pay enough bus fare and said IT SHOULD BE $1.10.

Hello, it's only ten cents and you want to make it such a big deal? The company belongs to your family is it? Why do you have to care about a loss of ten cents? Nowadays,it is difficult to have access to public toilets with only ten cents. Some toilets require you to pay twenty cents okay! So, he claimed that there's ticket checking and I should buy a new ticket, which means, I HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER $1.10 for my bus trip. What the UY^%$EGKO. And by the way, my ticket was not checked at all.

$1.10 is a small amount I know. But hello, you want me to pay $2.10 for the stupid bus trip which made me drowsy and had me subjected to continuous stares from some man whom I don't even know? If your attitude had been better, I would have paid the extra $1.10 willingly and gladly but what's that kind of attitude? It really made me look like some immature teenager who wants to pay 10 cents less. For your information, I didn't pay my bus fare to get humiliated.

Irritating freak. Grrrr...

Brainful of german..

Gott, koennen Sie mir helfen?

Heute werde ich frueher schlafen!

P/S: Eine sehr langsam Entry ueber Uni. Entschuldigung. Ich werde mehr interessantes Inhalt in meine Urlaub schreiben. Ich weiss nicht, ob ich richtige Deutsch benutzt habe. :X
...
Oh, forgot to mention something very important. I got my first choice of attachment- STUDENTS CARE SERVICE in Clementi. :) I didn't really expect to get my first choice because the third year students have been telling me that we have a low possibility of getting our first choice. Nevertheless, I still balloted according to what I preferred. But the thing is, I didn't expect much. Perhaps that is why I am delighted? No matter where we are attached to, we must strive and learn as much as possible!! Social Work mates, 加油!!

Happy~!!!

Slept at 2 plus last night and woke up at 7am. Felt so yawn-y for the whole day! I've got a feeling my essay won't turn out very good. Bleah! :P

My friend's happy!

Kelvin's in a good mood today! :)

Mum said my temper is getting better! YEAH! :D

Alright, no time to type all the details. Shall leave it like that. Stay happy, people!

(P/S: I've added Dass Du Lebst's lyrics at the side! :D)

See the graph on the right hand side of the window? Green line stands for my health, pink line stands for love, and blue line stands for.... erm.. whatever.. Interesting huh? :D Got this from my dear primary school friend's blog.

Dear friend, you're not alone. Not all families are perfect.

Summary of today.

Have you ever met someone whom you have not see for a very long time, to the extent of feeling that he/she doesn't exist in this world at all? It feels like a dream.

Today I...
  • have finally balloted for my attachment!
  • skipped my PR2202 lecture to watch A League of Their Own.
  • I had tried to do my HY2247 essay, which is only less than one-third done.
  • didn't eat a proper lunch.
  • found someone sweet.
  • felt that someone is cute in a silly way. :)
  • gobbled down my dinner.
  • plan to finish my essay by tuesday evening so that I can read up for my SW2101 project meeting.

Feeling so tired! :(

More Hana Yori Dango!

A very HYD webby!

This webby compares the pictures of the various characters of the different versions of HYD!
See for yourself. Just realised 'Domyoji' is from the Japanese Group, Arashi!

I bin 很 U-re-shi-yi!!

(Muahahahahahahahaha.. can see that I am a little mad liao, using English, German, Chinese and my very broken Japanese at the same time.)

Why? Because looks like I am going to be able to download the songs from Japanese version of HYD!! :D

*skips away*

...

Alright, seriously, one very important reason of me loving this anime so much is because of this:

"No matter how many times you step on me, I'll still continue to grow!" spirit of Makino.

(Please note that what I typed is not translated from the Japanese line above hor)

FuN!

Saw this website from my friend's friend's blog, who got it from another blog. :X Gee. Okay, get down to studying!!

Yummy-licious!

It's amazing how one, who used to be so nonchalant, can actually transform into one who really listens to what you have to say. I don't know what has caused him to change but it's a positive change and I am very touched. From small actions, you can really see if the person cares and loves you. :)

Bought icecream, $5.50 for two tubs. Yum!

My mum thinks I am having exams next week. Muahahahaha..I shall get down to studying!

Hana Yori Dango!! :D

I am watching the Japanese Drama version of Hana Yori Dango now!!

I love this story so much! It's like re-living the days when I die die also must watch the cartoon every weekday at 6plus before dinner (remember we had this new channel a few years back? But it was removed because of some unknown reasons). I simply love it! :D

And of course, it reminds me of the days when I would say Rui is the most handsome while Grace would claim that Dao Ming Si is hers. Hahaha.. silly girl days.

P/S: All thanks to San Min who introduced me to that online thingy whereby we can watch dramas online. She was asking me what I usually read for leisure. I answered with guilt: only comics. *paiseh* (And my only comics= Only Hana Yori Dango). She then told me about the website. :D

Japanese Version
Good
1. Makino seems really innocent and cute, just like the real Makino in Hana Yori Dango.

2. Domyoji's hair was 'realistic' as in, his hair is (from beginning till the end) curly and it really looks like the real Doumyoji's hair.

3. Okay, I am being pretty lame but Domyoji's sister (Song Dao Cai Cai Zi) is very sexy and pretty!!

4. The content much lesser but the main gist of the story is there. Well done!

5. The acting skills are not bad.

Bad
1. F4 don't seem to be as good looking as I expected. Sigh. The comic version is too unrealistic I guess. Domyoji was okay-looking but a little too skinny.

2. They lumped all the happenings together and the whole show was much much shortened.

Jing Xue Jie is not pretty at all! Gosh.

Upon watching second episode, she looks so sexy!! Ahh.. just now I cock-eye.

Taiwan Version
Good
1. The looks of F4 were really not bad. And their looks were suitable for the roles they played.

2. Some extra humorous stuff they added in helped to enhance the story.

Bad
1. Makino is a very sweet and innocent girl. 大S was not suitable for the role at all. Firstly, she's got tattoos on her hand and her neck. Makino, being a very poor girl, can't afford to have tattoos la.

2. Lousy acting skills. Lousy to the extent of making me cringe.

3. Halfway through the show, Domyoji went to rebond straighten his hair.

...
Okay, so basically I still DON'T LIKE Taiwanese shows. Obviously their acting skills are still not there. This Japanese version of HYD, though a lot of content was removed, was much better because of the good acting skills and the good choice of actors and actresses.

How my nick almost got me into trouble.

Cindy still(L)Tommmmmyyyyyyyyyy says:

Wait. Before you all start to think too much, let me explain. Tommy is a guy from my Social Work project group. And I just only got to know his Christian name yesterday when my another group mate told me about it. Thus, when my another guy group mate added me on MSN, he saw my nick and immediately ask that Tommy to add me. Wahahaha..

After Tommy added me, I said "I'll explain.." And he said "No need.."

Phew.

ORAL IS OVER!

Phew. I think it's bogging my mind since last week. I felt so relieved now. Relieved is the word I would use now. I don't really know which word to use. Ying fong guessed if I felt dead. But I don't feel exactly drained and dead like every other German Semester Test. This is better even though I sort of screwed up by speaking either too slowly, too little or stopped half-way and went "errrrrr...."

Honestly, I think it'll be a DAMN wastage of time for the lecturers to listen to all our tapes. This is especially so when almost all the tapes are full of "eerrrrrrrrr"s and "Ich bin neu an der Uni.." Muahahahahaaa.. that's our favourite line liao because that line is sort of indispensable if you're going for Austausch (Exchange Programme).

Basically I screwed up la. But I hope others did screwed up together with me and let's pray that there's some moderation (fat hope). Herr Chan listened to some of the tapes and said he heard a few of us cursed. :X I did say shit when I don't have enough time leh. And he said our cursings are not in german.. Hahahaha.. so cute of him! He's my idol! When he asked us if we have an idol, I immediately have him in my mind. And when one classmate mentioned his name, he quickly said "danke! danke!" Ahhhh... SO CUTE!

I took a few pictures in class!
Me and San Min, the cute girl from my class! :) (gee I look so sleepy)

Xinli wants to take a picture with San Min too.

Suddenly, San Min became a star. Muahahaha..

My dearest Herr Chan! The idea of Herr Chan being the background of this picture is a monkey idea of Xinli. But I love it. HEEEEE... Some day I'm going to take a proper picture with my favourite lecturer! :)

Endlich komme ich nach Hause,

Nice sandals right? Damn painful ahhhhh... *limps*

Okay, think I should go watch 大长金 and rest. :P

Morgen kommt wirklich das Ende der Cindy?

This guy, so long never speak german liao.. speak to me and got criticised immediately.. HAHAHAHA... :P

I got sick of sad love songs liao. Heard this song this morning and it got me into a very "woke-up" mode. And (what?) my mum was swinging along with the song. Bahahahhaaaa... so funny!!

Cindy, stay calm... and cheerful like this song! *beams*

Starting to feel a little nervous..

Slept at 12plus last night. Woke up at 6plus today. Actually I set my alarm at 6.30. I wanted to sleep more but the queasy feeling I had made me wake up. Queasy from what, you might ask. I think it's german oral. :S

Mittwoch, März 22, 2006

Vielen Dank!

Thanks Xinli and Yingfong for your willingness to practise german oral with me.

Thank you very much, Siwei, for your help and guidance in the construction of those long long german sentences. And thank you for giving us advice and all. :D

I have received help from many people and not all of them are as patient and willing to share as him. Thank you so much!! If I pass my german oral......... erm, I won't do anything la. I would remember you forever for your help. I hope I didn't misjudge.

Anyway, vielen Dank!

For all german learners out there, good luck for Mündliche Prüfung and all the best for Referat! :)

ALLES GUT!

Ahhh.. so many good memories..

Got this picture from Xinli's MSN space. This is my German 3 tutor, Annika Walter-Schantz (if I didn't remember wrongly) with her baby boy whom she always mention during our classes. She'll always share her experiences of bringing up her little boy during our lessons, of course not inappropriately and we welcomed her sharings. ,,Mama Mama!" Hahahaha.. A pity I didn't go to the soccer thingy or else I would have seen her and her little boy! :(

Not to forget that she's a very encouraging teacher as well. Ahh, cute little boy of hers would feel so loved.

Ahhh.. I don't know how much I'll miss german lessons once I stop learning it.
...
Happy Birthday, Elaine! I know you won't be reading this but I just want to wish you a very happy birthday and I'll never forget the good tims we had together. Love you!
Serene's birthday is coming up! I already planned what to do liao. :D

After a nice long chat with Yujie,

我想我 才了解 我正停格在愛情過敏的季節...

For all my friends out there, please be proactive! If you see a chance, grab it before it's gone!

Me? I believe I am much much more proactive than other girls but right now, I am not in the mood to talk about such stuff and I am starting to focus on a thing which requires damn loads of attention.

Nevertheless, I wish all my friends good luck! *wink*

Weekend Getaway Trip to Batam with Mum and Kelvin..

The Batam trip was alright on the whole. What matters is the family connection and the time spent together. I bought quite a lot of stuff (as compared to my ma and Kelvin), had irritating encounters with aunties and uncles, played chess and lost badly, got all emotional when 25 is mentioned, had fun taking pictures.

Pictures time!
(Pictures might be of wrong sequence due to the tonnes of photos I took.)

Tonnes of people. More of aunties and uncles than young people, but nonetheless, I think all of us hoped to have a great time.

Looking at batik while waiting for boarding time.

Nice way of tying batik! :D

Bahh.. forgive me. I am still trying hard to take good photos! Is this artistic? If not, please don't say a thing. :X

Took this when I was on the bus.

Guan Gong poster 1

Guan Gong poster 2

Guan Gong poster 3

Guan Gong poster 4

The magnificent Guan Gong.

We saw these big yuan baos at the temple.

And all I see is money. MUAHAHAHAHAHA...

First cute poster.

Second cute poster.

Third cute poster.

Did I mention that we were in this tour group being co-led by Marcus (the DJ in FM972)?

Ma browsing while I entertained myself with my baobei2.

Typical kah tourists shop.

Before eating lunch, we watched some interesting performances like eating glass pieces and burning-hot charcoal pieces, peeling coconuts with teeth and jumping through fire ring..

Some lion, looks like our very own Chinese lions huh?

Bored musicians at the backstage.
