My Undergraduate Days #63 (Post-Commencement Madness.)

After two weeks of waiting, I finally managed to meet up with Sharon to take graduation photos together! Our first stop was Esplanade. Sharon was very wanted on Friday, because both me and Sibing (her Secondary school friend) wanted to take photos with her. Isn't Sharon adorable? Hahaha... With Singapura's landscape. On our way to see Mr Merlion, Julia broke down. Notice how irritated Sharon was... Miss Koh, the Social Work major, deep in thought. Hmm... Me and Shany. Thanks for coming, my dear!
Girlfriends from 33/02, AJC. Mr Merlion splattered salty seawater on Julia. Sharon and me, looking very natural with our hair flying in all sorts of directions.
Julia says that the real Raffles was short and fat.
Victoria Concert Hall, greatly missed by the CO people. Somewhere near Supreme Court. The idea of taking photos here came from me!!! Me! Me! Me! (Actually I was inspired by Xinli's photos taken in Europe.)
Sharon looked small here (please refer to the photo below).
It was a really hot day. But I'm satisfied because it didn't rain! If not, I won't know when I can have another common free timeslot with my Sharon to take our graduation photos.
Efforts in throwing my mortar board.
Oh mein Gott. Super not glam. :SThanks to Julia, my Personal Assistant of the day......who had to deal with my emotional needs and physical needs...
My gown is very heavy, you know...?

We were super tired at the end of it. Went to Mix and had juices with the girls! (I love The Soup Spoon too! :P) Alright, I've finally taken all possible wacky poses in my graduation gown. Time to return it and get back to reality.

P/S: My
Pre-Commencement Madness post has been updated. Take a look at some of the photos that I took with Kelly and Ming En in the Central Library if you're interested!

Ramblings.

We can't deny what happened. It happened. What I thought won't happen happened. Kind of felt disappointed and sad. The words came across as daggers stabbing into my heart. And no, I'm not talking about affairs of the heart.

Things happened, not without a reason. I understand that I have some fault in it, but that does not justify that I will need to bear all those hurtful words. All those words came across as daggers probably because I did not expect them, and probably because I've been enthusiastically planning something special for that person or what nots. I'm crazy lah, keep thinking about ways to make my friends feel special. And I wonder how many people in this world is willing to be like that to me. Oh well.

And what's bad is that for me, once something bad happens I'll just pull myself back into my shell and just stop doing what I wanted to do at the beginning. May seem very reserved, but that's the only way I can protect myself, especially when I'm not good at arguing with people and would love to keep peace.

*

Believe me, I've been trying my best already. I feel guilty for taking time off. Can you believe it? I worked more than required and yet, I feel guilty for taking time off. Yet, I can't deny that I need a break. I've been sleeping early already, but I just feel that I need some more time for myself to rejuvenate. I need some time for my family and myself too. I need my breathing space.

It's difficult not to feel inadequate, especially when I face people who have this perverted habit of making me feel inadequate. Or is it that my thinking is already distorted. I need CBT. Can anyone please use it on me to check if I have any irrational thoughts? Also, as compared to the rest, I know I am not as creative, not as talented, not as sensitive, not as quick-witted. I am just forever not good enough.

For the past few months, I've been walking on my toes. Really worried that I will disappoint others and disappoint myself. Especially so when I have a tendency to jump into conclusions or say things too quickly and most of the time, without using my brain. Stop think do leh.

Beauties and the beasts.

Yes, met up with my beauties and beasts (since we're the beauties, they must be the beasts lor). I felt relaxed and happy, and as usual the beauties got a good workout. Only they'll know what I mean, hehe... we've got so many insiders' jokes such that whenever we mention them, the beasts will give those huh looks. Super hilarious when they looked at us blindly while we were laughing away crazily. These are some of the few normal shots we had, using Chichang's super professional camera. Here's Elayne and Chichang. Notice that Chichang tried too hard to act cute...... such that both Ying Fong and Xinli can't bear to see.So they decided to demonstrate the ways to act cute. Actually we don't have to act cute. We're cute by nature, wahahaha~ More photos of the beauties...Dessert came and I must say, it was superb! :DAnd the truth behind this posh photo of the dessert was this...
...Xinli trying to use the pillow to act as a good background for the wonderful dessert. Like what she said, the dessert really tasted better when you share it with other people.

Towards the middle of the gathering, the beasts could no longer sit cross-legged. It was hilarious (again) to see them fidgeting at their seat and showing us their miserable faces. Please refer to the photo on the right.
Really beautiful group photos captured by Chichang's camera. THANKS for the photos! :)Someone looked like a mannequin... -giggles-
No matter what, I still love the company. Thought the dinner was kind of like an energizer- made me feel more refreshed. Thanks, my beauties and beasts (or bears). :D

Bread and butter #23 (Recee for Children Holiday Outing at Sentosa.)

Going to Sentosa at 9am for recee means I had to sleep half an hour lesser, but anyway, I enjoyed myself at Sentosa partly because it's a Monday... :) The two Miss Kohs inside the Sky Tower. Other than the Merlion region, the sights were rather disappointing, unfortunately. There were construction work almost everywhere.
And yes, I took photos of the nice areas only.
Then we proceeded to the Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom. The designs on the butterflies are beautiful. The other insects are erm, not so beautiful, but have got interesting surviving tactics- like camouflaging or jumping backwards (!) to run away from predator.
There were really butterflies flying about in the park though I thought there could be more. Along the way, Diana and me spotted two dead butterflies, sigh.
There are insects who don't have a fixed gender, so they're half female half male. And their looks are really half female half male.
I didn't know under that big black shell are two big wings. Eww.
Interesting huh, looks like an owl.
Next, we proceeded to the beach. This is my favourite part of the recee. There was hardly anyone around. It was so so peaceful! I felt so in peace with myself as I strolled along the shores (bearing in mind that I am still super tired since last Monday).
There were mysterious black holes around. I was wondering if they are created by crabs. Haa, watched too much cartoons! Anyway I tried kicking sand into it. As Diana was chiding me for doing that, she found twigs to poke into the hole. -_-

Claiming ownership of the sand. :P (Due to the naughty waves, it took me quite a while before I can write and take a picture of this.)
