Morten Lauridsen - O magnum mysterium - Polyphony

One of the four songs we sang for our Prague competition... Really like this song, because of the melody as well as the history behind it. The first song was Hodie Natus Christus Et, the second song was Quem Vidistis Pastores Dicite, the last song was O Magnum Mysterium. I can't seem to remember the third song... =(

Ping shen me?

Just exactly how I feel right now... albeit I don't have a clear answer like Luo Zhi Xiang.

Had programme till 9pm, missed fun time with friends because of various reasons (not just because of feeling tired), had late dinner... but don't feel remembered, don't feel appreciated... I seriously don't know what I am working hard for... my actions and my words are worth little???

I am putting in so much effort in a lot of things, but why are people around me doing so little? It's really unfair... and I am still being expected to maintain my standard. What the hell is this???

I am trying my best, and yet some people can be so nonchalant or blur about things. I am putting in effort to think before I act, can you please show some effort too?

The only saving "graces" are the usual support my mentors give, no major misbehaviour during the programme despite the mad rush to prepare for closure, my kids' smiles as they received what I prepared for them... as well as an early birthday gift... :)

I really can't stand so many things... but at the end of the day, does anyone even bother to know what I go through and how I feel? Everyone is living in their own world and probably can't care much... I wonder...

The most boring 3 hours of my life (thus far)... -_-

It was such a horrifying experience... I went to office at 8plus in the morning and was in the process of opening the door... A lady approached me to ask about our centre, and I told her to wait while I unarm our office...

Then, I grabbed a centre brochure, pushed the glass door to talk to that lady... I stepped out of the office and explained to her our clientele, opening hours, etc... And suddenly I realised that the glass door is just a few centimetres away from closing...

And IT'S TOO LATE... The glass door closed right in front of me and I almost screamed in front of the public. T_T While I was still recovering from my major shock, that lady was stunned and told me she'll need to rush home (thanks =_=)... And left me outside alone... With just one stupid namecard. I got no phone, no money... NOTHING else with me.

I wanted to cry man. What am I supposed to do?!?! From what I can remember, JW has finished her classes on Saturday mornings (I found out that I was wrong later), no one else should be coming into office... My client's mother should be coming, and I can't just leave like that without informing her (my phone is in the office T_T)... So I stood outside the office in tee and shorts.

At about 9am, client's mother came and I explained to her what happened while trying to hide my shock and stupidity. She so kindly offered to send me home or leave her boy with me to help me run errands. So I decided to take the offer and be sent back to home area at least. I am so thankful for that ride!!! I can't imagine walking back home from clementi........

My mo was out for longer than expected. And I ended up waiting outside my house for at least 2 hours plus. Gosh, I did whatever that I can think of... Sang some of my old choir songs and realised that I can't remember how to sing some already :(... Played word games with myself... Thought of possible action plans once I can go inside my house... Fiddled with my cactus... Scrutinised my toes, fingers, legs and arms... Did the AJ clap... Napped... Oh man, it was SUPER BORING, I tell you.

Finally at 1pm, my mo miraculously appeared and wondered how did I end up outside the house when I'm supposed to be in office...

I rushed into the house, grabbed my old handphone and desperately switched it on. The power button seemed a bit weird and I prayed hard that the phone can still function. After about two minutes of desperate pressing, the phone is finally on!!! (I have to go back office somehow because I can't leave the office like that overnight, and I have to meet a client tomorrow so I definitely need my belongings that I placed in office.)

Then I quickly jotted down TW, SM, BT, XY, and NF's number. I don't have my sim card with me, but I have old smses stored in my old phone. Am so glad I haven't deleted them!!!

So I started calling... I am so glad SM and XY picked up my call!!! Felt so reassuring when boss told me he can go back office... *touched* XY is in office so I instructed her to stay there until I go back...

And this post is my documentation for the most boring 3 hours of my life... Gosh, how memorable... Hahaha... @_@

Bread and butter #454 (Lovable Closure.)

I am quite happy to be able to go through an informal groupwork consultation with one of my older groupwork partners, the one that journeyed with me and the kids closely for the past few years...

From my video, I noticed my supporters. They were trying their best to support me. I noticed the kids whom I always try very hard to engage. They were actually already engaged in their very own unique ways, especially that silly boy who always acted cool and acted as if he doesn't care...

It feels magical how small actions and a few words could make a whole lot of difference. I am so excited to try them all out...

3 years passed by again, for another class... And it's time to bid farewell again. These kids are my lovable kids who bring me pain, joy as well as loads of self-reflection. I am thankful to have journeyed with them for the past few years, and I am glad to have met these wonderful kids who have so many more strengths that are yet to be unveiled.

Bread and butter #453 (Aunty Serena is on leave.)

"Please help to clear the rubbish from your waste paper basket into the big rubbish bin at the pantry every day and help to keep the venues clean after every usage.

If you have programmes at the activity hub, please clean up the place before locking up.

Last but not least, if you see any place that is dirty, you can either

  1. Get the broom / mop to clean up yourself
  2. Get the broom / mop and ask another person to clean up together.
  3. Inform me to assign someone to clean it up
Realized that no matter which option you choose, we have to clean it up? Haha.."

LOL at boss.

Korean Dramas: Spy Myeong Wol & That Fool

Current dramas that I'm watching...
Spy Myeong Wol
1) Spy Myeong Wol

2) That Fool
That Fool

Dramas with good OSTs usually win me over quite easily... and for these two dramas, I realised after googling for the theme songs that both songs are actually sang by Lena Park. Other than Utada Hikaru, I don't really like other female singers. I usually prefer male singers, especially those with strong and powerful (lack of other better vocabulary) vocals like Tom Albrecht and Tom Albrecht, haha, can't think of other voices that I like. In both songs, Lena Park's voice is very moving and those songs were stuck in my head for quite long after watching the dramas. Looks like Lena Park is going to be my second favourite female singer! ;)

A dear friend's wedding.

The bride!
And finally, she's ready!
The friendly sisters!
The "I love you" that I was wow-ing about.
I pity the brothers who had their faces facing the ground. ^_^
Piecing the puzzle together...
Angbao haggling. The ultimate act of SINCERITY- Angbao.
THE car!
Love the tea dress and the heels!
The couple.
I was in charge of holding the tray, for the first time in my life. >_<
And at night, the following movie is screened!!!
Aww.
Exchanging of vows and rings. Heartfelt moment.
I stole the photo below from Elayne's friend. Like it because it's a very natural shot, and some sort reflected their personalities haha!
The night zoomed by.
And finally, the sisters got together to split the earnings, hahahahaha!!!
Love the snapshots idea! Anybody wants to consider this for their wedding?
♥ Endless blessings for the couple, Elayne & Jameson ♥

Shut off.

Pretty disappointed with a lot of people and things. My melancholic self is scarily domineering, but I believe in my feelings. I feel disappointed for a reason. I feel angry for a reason. I feel sad for a reason. My feelings are not baseless and pointless. And I can't be bothered to explain if you are not free to listen. And guess what. I have no time to share now because I have better things to do, better adventures to plan, better self-loving journeys to have.

It's quite a hassle to think through and consider about little words and actions, so I try to keep quiet or "just do it". There's always a lot of harm done when I speak with a lack of self-control, so keeping silent is the way to go. And there are some things that I do because I really wanted to, not because I have ulterior motives. If people prefer to imagine otherwise, so be it. As long as I know I am sincere and I did what I can.

If you think I am not doing a good job, so be it. I can't be bothered. I know I have tried my best... I know I have fulfilled my duties to the best I can... and that's the most important thing for myself... sometimes I even go the extra mile, but I wonder why I have to go through all these.

If you think you're gonna scare the hell out of me, go ahead. Throw up a fuss, act like someone crazy, I don't care. I will go all out to protect myself from all the craziness that you subject me to and I will have no sympathy or regrets.

If you think I am not important, go ahead and lead your own life. I don't need you anyway.
.
.
.
At times when I really don't know what to do... I would love to shut off and live in a world of my own..............

Bread and butter #452 (Mr A.)

It was a humbling meetup with Mr A. Looking at him, staying cheerful and strong amidst all the challenges in his life, makes me so happy! There was once when I was down recently that I thought about him for a while. He's a great role model for me. =)

It's OK to be selfish- just don't discount or ignore others' needs.

Oh great. Your needs are met. That's the most important thing right?

How about mine?

If I share my needs, and you are telling me that it's (my) personal (needs), then I see no point in sharing because it's my personal needs and you are not going to care anyway.

Talk about selfishness in humans- it's so prevalent.

I am selfish, but at least I don't discount or ignore others' needs.

Like a kid.

If you treat me like a kid, I will behave like a kid. If you treat me like an adult, I'll really make sure I behave like an adult. Goodness. Really don't understand how some adults think and function these days...

[2PM] The story of great warmth =)

Brought me lots of warmth indeed =)
