Secret Recipe with SW girls.

It's the sort of monthly meet-up with my Social Work girlfriends again, and boy did I enjoy it! =)Thank you all for taking the time to meet up, especially so for Ying Yan whose examinations are coming real soon. Feels great to chat with you girls, guessing secondary schools (when we already announced... my god, we're so blur! haha...), CCAs and favourite fruits, and laughing at each others' laughter...

Anyway, well done, Ming En and Sabrina for making one correct guess! Next time, we shall guess the favourite fruits of the other girls! Laugh and wind down is what I need to do. As what SM always say, self-care is very important. I want to have a long journey and dream big, so I got to take good care of myself.

Say hello to my nephew, Jia Rui! =)

Got news from my brother in the morning that my sister-in-law was admitted into KK Hospital for delivery, and at 4.59pm, Jia Rui is borned! And, he is 49cm tall! Hahaha...He is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo CUTE!!!
He kept yawning and even shivered twice. So adorableeeeeeee...
See!!! He yawned again!

Bread and butter #31 (Dinner & intimate chat.)

This was a quite-early-initiative by Seng Meng, which is aimed at self-care for ourselves. We simply just plan to have a meal together and chill-out thereafter. Our kong bah dinner at Westlake.
Seng Meng's photographic skills still need some brushing up, but my criticism advice did inspire him to have some minor improvement, hehehe...

Picked up Peiyi from town and moved on to our secret chill-out venue. Along the way, we kept playing with our walkie-talkies.

Thanks to every single one of you, for the initiative, the yummy kong bah dinner, the cranky and hilarious walkie-talkie conversations, the Silvery Moon and Mandarin Orange rides, the very useful picnic mat (with the toilet paper, hahaha), the drink and snacks, the crazy truth or dare game, the endless fun-filled moments, the truthful, deep and intimate sharing from each and every one of you.

I enjoyed myself. =)

Beauties and the beasts.

Yes, met up with my beauties and beasts (since we're the beauties, they must be the beasts lor). I felt relaxed and happy, and as usual the beauties got a good workout. Only they'll know what I mean, hehe... we've got so many insiders' jokes such that whenever we mention them, the beasts will give those huh looks. Super hilarious when they looked at us blindly while we were laughing away crazily. These are some of the few normal shots we had, using Chichang's super professional camera.Here's Elayne and Chichang. Notice that Chichang tried too hard to act cute...... such that both Ying Fong and Xinli can't bear to see.So they decided to demonstrate the ways to act cute. Actually we don't have to act cute. We're cute by nature, wahahaha~ More photos of the beauties...Dessert came and I must say, it was superb! :DAnd the truth behind this posh photo of the dessert was this...

Towards the middle of the gathering, the beasts could no longer sit cross-legged. It was hilarious (again) to see them fidgeting at their seat and showing us their miserable faces. Please refer to the photo on the right.

Traditional Chinese meal with Beauties cum Xinli's birthday.

The princess overslept, and we had to wait for her to wake and dress up. Oh my god... Since we promised to eat a traditional Chinese meal together, "steamboat" immediately came to my mind. It was timely too, because Xinli and Ying Fong just came back to Singapore from Germany a few days ago. So the steamboat served as a reunion meal?
We made the soup choice first as Elayne was still on her way, and we regretted for choosing the medium hot 麻辣 soup. It practically killed all of us. And my lips looked like red sausages, I think. In the end, the 麻辣 side became a rubbish chute where we throw unwanted stuffs into.When my dear Elayne finally came, she refused to take a proper photo with me.All she did was to eat 4 pieces of crab and teach us how to act cute.The shop was supposed to close at 3.30pm, but we ordered quite a number of dishes and stayed till 3.45pm. It's only fair and logical that we stay longer because we arrived late.Trying out a special photo-taking mode on Ying Fong's camera.
I ate till I couldn't feel that I was full. Seriously, I think I might have a hole in my stomach.Ying Fong, Xinli and shy Elayne.Long time no see, Xinli and me.And the girls tried the manual 三连拍.

I realised I could not react fast enough for Ying Fong's camera......and that resulted in me having the similar pose in different pictures.But it's still a lot of fun playing around with the camera!Then we had coffee and donuts- sinful high tea right after the buffet steamboat.

One of the donuts is supposed to act as the birthday cake. Didn't know Elayne hate bread so much. :(

Worming around at Vivo.

Yes. I went to Vivo again, this time round, with Joan to catch up a little. It turned out that we discussed about a lot of things, even though there were only two of us. Really sorry that I kept postponing the meeting time as I needed to run some errands. (And Joan said she could sleep longer... -_-)Felt like cancelling the meeting, but luckily I came out. Chilling out at the open space at Vivo is really nice. :)

I still think that it's important to make an effort to meet up with my friends occasionally. It'll be terrible to just not date your friends, hoping that they'll date you when you're always rejecting their dates for some reason. No personal attack here, but there are in fact such people around.

And I really really appreciate people who took the initiative to date me or helped me out with regards to organising of gatherings. Big thanks to Corinne, but big boo to those who always expect me to do all the sai gang.

Always have this thought that going out with only one friend might be awkward. But will try to adjust this thinking from today onwards!

Meet-up with Lydia and unexpected meet-up with two other guys from NHSS.

My day started at 6.30am. It's been a long long time since I woke up so early in the morning. I seem to be addicted to capturing beautiful sun beams. Believe me, the beams are much prettier than how they look in the photo.

After my voluntary work, I met Lydia for dinner at Vivo. Both of us hoped to have good food, but the food was so disappointing. Anyway, one good happening of the evening that helped me to feel better after my self-reflection (for my voluntary work) was to meet up two guys from NHSS! I have not seen them for the last 5 years, that is since graduation!

Kuan Liang said he saw me at the Hong Kong Cafe. Singapore is so small.Here's happy Lydia with Kuan Liang and Mun Fong. Lydia got a buy one get two free offer. Kuan Liang was from my Secondary 4/4 class while Mun Fong is like "Lijia in AJC". My secondary school class used to have several NPCC members and I usually hear about other members from my classmates. "Mun Fong" is one of the names Lydia usually mention, which reminds me of Lijia who is usually mentioned by either Julia and Sharon. :)I can't believe it. We actually met each other in the (yucky) restaurant! And I almost could not recognise Kuan Liang. We had a fun time chatting- was interesting to hear Kuan Liang elaborate on the theory of relativism. Aye, so cheem.

Mentioned social work to the guys, and one word that I got from Kuan Liang was: noble.

(Anyway, he is surprised that I want to be a social worker.)

We saw another guy from NHSS and smiled at him (who's in a bookstore) together. All of us were expecting him to come out and talk to us but he did not. Think he can't recognise us?

Along the way home, Lydia shared with me some of her hilarious encounters when she is at work in zoo. One of them goes like this:
Hello, miss, what time is the 1pm show?
(roll eyes) ...... 1pm, sir.

Anyway, I felt really good to be able to meet up with people whom I have not seen for such a long time. And, I don't think all meet-ups have good vibes in them. I don't know how the rest felt, but for me, here's one with the good vibes.
