4/4 girls gathering!

Lydia, Ida and Elaine were present. I had a great time chatting, gossiping and catching up. With chatty Lydia around, there's definitely no awkward moments. Look at her. Full of energy.

Lydia even suggested me to take up a job called 'event-planner' in STB(Singapore Tourism Board).

On the right is me and pretty Ida who's furthering her studies in Australia. She also brought chocolates for us. (Stupid Lydia didn't tell her that me and Elaine are going as well and thus, Ida brought lesser chocolates!)

P/S:One of the chocolates is called Wonky.Elaine promised me to buy for me. Let's see if she will.........

Here's me and Elaine who's forever childish but, according to Lydia, very independent. You might say she doesnt look childish but...

EVIDENCE-->

We got this young man to take a group photo for us. Thankyou for taking such a blur photo.

Nice meeting you girls up. Though I do not say "I miss you all" like Lydia, I really missed those days we had together in NHSS and all those memories. Hope we have more frequent gatherings in the future! PROMISE!

Anyway, I should be quite free on Chu3 (third day of Chinese New Year) so anybody can date me on that day okay! :D

P/S: I am starting to understand what Xinli said. It's the not 交情, i.e. how long friends have known each other, but the effort you spend to keep in contact and to meet up from time to time. Thus, my new year resolution or perhaps long-term resolution is to keep meeting up with friends. It feels great to know that you have friends around.

A few words can make a difference.

Encouraging words like '加油' or 'ganbatte' made me felt better.

And saying stuff like 'as long as you know you are not doing anything wrong... against ur own conscience...don't bother about other people's opinions.' helps to heal my feelings.

I felt in peace. No I'm not dying. But I just felt peaceful and a sense of braveness to go on. Thankyou so much! :)

Will update again once school starts, i.e NEXT WEEK. Boo.

Down.

Today's gym session with Yujie was hiong. I also made a shame out of myself and further proved to myself that my swayness is still around me. Thus, I am in a particularly provoke-able mode these few days. Sorry for inconvenience caused.

Cute, romantic and light-hearted Japanese Anime.

Recently, I've been watching this Anime. The basic storyline is : this 17 year old boy is enrolled into a magic (?) school called Aoi Academy where students learn magic skills (machiam the school Harry Potter is in la). This handsome boy here is actually not popular in his school and no girls like him until people got to know that he has the strongest genes which will produce the greatest magician in the world. Thus three girls (as shown below) started to get all close to him with the ultimate aim of getting the genes. The cartoon is a little naughty but it's generally enjoyable and funny especially during scenes of 夕菜 being jealous of girls who try to get close to her 和树君. She claims that he's her husband.

Let's take a look at the characters.

式森和树 a.k.a 和树君~ (this is how Xi Cai calls him lovingly)

He's very helpful and caring. Even though he knows the ultimate aims of the girls, he treated them as true friends and gain trust and great friendships in the process.

宫间夕菜 a.k.a Xi Cai

Self-proclaimed wife of 和树君. A sweet and thoughtful girl.

风椿玖里子 a.k.a Jiu Li Zi

The sex bomb out of the three girls. She's nice in nature too.

神城凛 a.k.a Xiao Ling

Looks tough on the outside yet a gentle and emotional girl. She was brought up strictly by her brother. Tough sword trainings made her an angry girl because all she wanted, as a child, is to make friends and have fun. Forgot why she always bring a sword along with her but it's sort of linked to her childhood.

Elizabeth (not too sure)

Actually I didn't add this character in my post earlier. But to prove that actually 玖里子 is a very nice girl, I added her. She's adopted by 玖里子 (for unknown reasons because I didn't catch the Anime from the beginning).

Sometimes life is so boring and sickening that a simple anime can actually ease your pain and troubles temporary.

Disgusting people I met today.

I attended my elder brother's housewarming party. In actual fact, I was in a rather bad mood because of the 'fading' relationship between me and my brother and well, because of his last minute invite. And that's why I had to push back Ellen's House Visit. Well, everyone has a life and I hope he understands that. I am sorry I gave a black face but I was not happy because of all the sway events in Dezember.

Anyway, I sort of lingered around his house doing nothing but eating all the time. And of course, oogling at guys. Out of all, I only thought one is good-looking but mum commented that guys there are too old for me. Duh. Of course I know. Oogling doesn't kill. :)

I saw two macho guys. With muscles. Lots of muscles. BUT i overheard what they said and I felt like puking and perhaps, pull them to the toilet and kill them with detergent if I have enough muscles. The very muscular (but terribly short) guy is a P.E teacher (sadly, my brother's colleague kept ka-jiao-ing my brother and wanted him to introduce a girl to him. And when they see a pretty girl, they started saying "Chio eh! This one chio!" in that very very kiam pa tone. I mean, you never see women before is it? Might as well go molest one la. If I were that girl (I know I'm not as pretty, so just an example), I would feel so 'molested' if he said I'm chio.

Then I noticed an icecube and some water on the floor. Obviously someone spilled that stupid dessert on the floor and had the guts to leave the mess there. That mess happened to be just beside the seat where Aizhen's grandma was sitting. I immediately lamented aloud that someone could actually be so brainless to leave that mess there. There are elderlies there. What do you mean by leaving the mess there? You want people to fall down? People whom my brother invited (majority teachers and friends, most of them tertiary educated), I thought they would be sensible, nice and perhaps, great people. But the little mess on the floor really upsets me. Nobody cared to pick that stupid icecube up. Nobody cared.

As I lamented aloud, I quickly picked it up with a rag and wipe up the mess. My mum never taught me to pick up a piece of icecube when it's on the floor. But I picked it up. What does this show? Some people (albeit being teachers and professionals) are idiots in life.

...

In this new year, I shall strive to improve myself and even if I'm a kuku I'll be a better one next year! I shall spend less, donate blood, do my placement, maintain relationships with friends, spend more time with mum, study hard, earn money and be a better person!

Dass ich lebe.

A nice new year gift.

This crumpled envelope flew all the way from Germany, Muenster, Elise Ruediger Weg to Singapore, Bukit Batok! Boy am i glad!

As Anna promised, she sent me Amelie's Soundtrack!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!

And she wrote a letter. But her handwriting is very very cursive!! How am I going to decipher the letter when my handwriting looks like primary school block type?

Anyway, two more hours and it'll be 2006. I wish my bad luck in Dezember fly away soon! Shoo!

衰 no more!

Darling Elayne's Early Birthday Celebration.

As sad as I could be, I can't pull a long face during the celebration. I hope Elayne felt loved. BAHAHAHAHAHAHA.......

WHAT WE DID

At 4 plus, we met at the usual venue (Bukit Batok Macdonald's).

Firstly, we drew 'elayne'. The funny thing is, YF's blue marker ran out of ink and I had to use my permanent blue marker to outline it or else it'll look horrible. And amazingly, according to Xinli, it looks 3D. Wow.

This is YF who happens to be not artistic but trying hard to be artistic. Bahahahaha...

This is Xinli, trying to be creative.

Cute and adorable little figurines drawn by Xinli.

*worked hard and took pictures while working hard*

END RESULT

FRONT

The upper left corner is taken up by Xinli. She and her heart-printings.

The upper right corner is taken up by YF. She's supposed to draw figures of us.

And the bottom is done by me!! Romantic bubbles! :D

BACK

P/S:
See the two plasters? Elayne must have thought we were very creative. In actual fact, we forgot to bring glue and scissors. As clever students, we thought of plasters to stick everything into place! Smart! (Plasters provided by Xinli)

We realised that we used three languages to write 'Happy Birthday' so we decided to write our wishes in three languages too! YF was slow to react and had the honour of writing in german.
(Read what YF wrote!)

Xinli spelt Geburtstag wrongly and squeezed the 'T' in between 'S' and 'R'.

Nice eh? When creative goddess (me) is here, nothing will go wrong! We were so proud of my masterpiece that we started to take pictures with it.

For a moment I thought we look like prisoners.

(The only difference between us and prisoners is that we're smiling.)

Happy Birthday Elayne!

P/S: Felt better after going out and 'training my 6-pack'. Private joke. :)

Wish for the new year: German 4 lessons this Semester.

I regretted for not checking the schedule for German 4 lessons after I received my results. Apparently, the schedule I checked earlier was outdated. VERY OUTDATED.

But even if I had checked earlier, I will still find myself in deep shit because the timeslot for German 4 is from 2-4pm and another @#$%%^ thing is that there's only one slot. And then my mouth and eyes opened when I found out that timeslot for SW2101 (which I MUST take this semester because I need it for placement next vacation) is the same as German 4 timeslot. Great.

When did the timeslot change? The last time I checked was 4-6pm. Now I can't even trust what I've seen a few weeks ago, or is it one week ago only? The helplessness I'm facing made me doubt my eyes. Was I cock-eye when I checked the schedule??

If I had checked earlier or if I had not been cock-eye, I can always ask the language department to see if there's anything that can be done before the damn bidding starts. It's too late.

I was kuku okay. I stupidly sent an email to Frau Neumann, asking if there's any possibility if they could change the time. (Alvin said I think the world revolves around me.) Gosh I'm not so dumb la. I know the chances are very very very limited. But I was so helpless that I sent the email. Can you sense my helplessness? My friends don't seem to understand how I felt when I messaged them or call them. I know it's useless but I still sent. To me, that is helplessness.

Automessage thing in Neumann's email told me that I can try sending an email to Frau Niemann. So i did again. Stupidly. Kuku-ly.

I called Niemann's office. Thrice. She called back in the afternoon. My heart was beating so quickly because I know my request is stupid. I kept mumbling profusely that I know the chances are very limited. I felt she felt that I was dumb. But she said she'll ask if I can actually join the academic class. (Academic class is reserved for those going for exchange. It's not for 阿猫阿狗 people like me.) Then I repeated "Thankyou" for countless times.

I know I won't die from not taking german this semester but I just want it. This semester.

...

Jialing called me and asked which language module I want to take together with her. I wanted anything 'European' so we kept it tentatively as either French or German. As French bidding is high, we decided to take German. My interest in Europe grew from my exposure to Europe during JC history classes. I thought it would be great to understand a culture through its language. And i kuku-ly thought that Russians speak the same language as Germans. ( To me, this sounds like total crap.) So originally I wanted to take Russian. What a cute wish. So i settled for German anyway.

German classes was fun. I met new guyfriends and girlfriends, established friendships. They are not strong relationships but could serve as great company in the boring university life.

As I went for each German class, I grew attached to German gradually. I am proud to be able to speak german while clutching onto my german notebook. I am proud to say I went for the German Immersion. I got to know nice people in Germany. Germans are not so haughty as I imagined them to be. I am proud to say I'll reserve all my UEs just for German. And I feel great when I say I'm taking German 3 and people go "woah! Level 3?!". You can say that I'm proud but I termed it as an achievement of mine.

In my life, I consider myself as an under-achiever. To me, mastering German is actually one of the very few things which I can take pride in. I would like to continue taking it this semester. Afterall, this is the last UE which I can spare.

I don't want to blame myself for not checking the schedule earlier because if I had done so, I'll still be stuck in between SW2101 and German 4. I am not sure if I can blame myself to be sway for this month.

Just want to cross my fingers now and... expect the worst.

Negative comments not welcomed. Thankyou.

I don't know what else I can do. I know I won't die if I don't take German 4 but nobody will understand how I feel right now.

Food for thought: Tuition for Elayne's Cousine..

1) I added 'e' to cousin because that stands for female cousin in german. That's how I reminded myself at the very beginning whether I'm going to teach a girl or a boy.

2) She lives in the area where Isaac (my long-lost guyfriend)lives. In fact, it's just two blocks away. By right, I should not have understood Elayne's clear-until-cannot-be-clearer instructions to get to their house because I'm a blur kuku. But I recognise Isaac's residence, so...

3) I felt a sense of satisfaction when I successfully (gauge from the rate the student is understanding whatever I said) teach Maths because that's a subject which I hate and love so much.

4) The girl (I don't know for what reason) loves to smile slightly when I teach her while other students have that sian look whenever they see me.

5) Have I mentioned I love the Cappucino Elayne's aunt prepared for me for the last two weeks? I remember the last time I drank Cappucino was only one mouthful in Delifrance with my mum and it sucks because I don't really know how to appreciate the bitter taste then. But the one I drank just now was sweet.

Just some interesting stuff that I wanted to note down.

..

P/s: New song in blog from 紫禁之巅 OST. 紫禁之巅 is one of the shows I'm watching now. It features Kone and 乔乔 from Sweety. Just a normal 偶像剧 with a normal girl liking a cool guy and the cool guy is still unable to forget his already-dead girlfriend. And then this normal guy who grew up with the normal girl is all along loving that normal girl but the normal girl (is a dumb girl) never notices it. Thus, a love triangle or a love square. (including the dead girlfriend. duh.)

It's okay if you don't understand the chunk above. My main point is : this song captures the sweet and pure love of the normal girl very well and it goes very well with the theme because the normal girl is simply waiting for the cool guy to be ready to accept her.

And yes, I like the song.

Heartbreaking Retail Therapy.

Let me see...A black tee, a white lacy tanktop, a pink tanktop, a black tanktop.. and a nice brown batik skirt.

If you think that's a lot..

I also bought a brand new BIG bag for myself. I love big bags! :)

And well, I received too little free gifts for purchasing this bag. I spent more than $100 for the past two weekends. Something's wrong with me.

Feeling happy but broke. I better work hard for money.

First Times..

Went to gym for the first time. Felt so guilty for looking flabby when I saw those muscular guys in the gym.

Then I rushed to go Tanglin Mall. This is the first time I'm visiting Tanglin Mall and I realised that it's a place for Angmos and rich people. And when I see Angmos, I get all excited because I want to eavesdrop and see (listen) if they are germans. I met three groups of germans in less than an hour! Felt like a kuku. Anyway, I had fun taking pictures!

Nice lightings at Tanglin Mall!

Passed by a normal-looking toy shop and found a lot of german toys there!!

For instance, this cute sets of toys. They actually have little pieces made of wood! It's like, if it's a tea set, they have (fake) tea bags, and sugar cubes. What I saw just now were sausages. I saw these toys in Germany and spend at least 15 minutes gazing like a kuku at the cute little stuff.

Cigars. Mum says that Grandfather used to smoke this.

Carebears! I got the blue one in my storeroom. But it's grey in colour already. I refused to throw away because it's what I had since young!

Yea! The (fake) snow finally came!

People were playing around while I stayed in a safe area to take pictures. :X

Suddenly we saw something white storming out of the snow. This small boy looks like a monster from far!

I was so amused at the little children covered in foam! Parents have everything planned. Umbrellas and raincoats. Clever move.

During the semester: Spends large portions of the semester enjoying life. Despite a wake up call in the form of a bombed mid-term, you lose steam again until the study break. Copies friends assignments; skips lectures, sometimes tutorials. Has had the plagiarism act read out to him a couple of times.

Hobbies: Same as Average Joe, but with greater devotion.

Most visited NUS facilities: Dean's Office (for unfriendly chit chats)/Photocopying room.

Pet phrase: “Can I borrow your lecture notes? I didn’t attend…” Repeated almost weekly.

I admit sometimes my mind's like away on a holiday but I don't skip lectures and I only borrowed lecture notes for a few times only! I hang out in the photocopying room because I want to photocopy readings! 冤枉啊!

Meeting with Yujie and Zhumei..

That's me in something something Friends. Is it Galileo Friends? Anyone knows the name? I like the soft sofas and fortunately for me, I was wearing jeans just now! So, I folded my legs! :D

Zhumei was too excited with her bland until cannot bland Dinosaur. (Yujie wants me to mention that she ask me to mention this stupid drink here) Anyway, we sort of asked the waiter to change the drink because it tasted like sugar water.

That's happy Yujie with her brown-coloured Strawberry Tea drink. To make her happier, say that her permed hair is pretty. Say!

See! She started to get all ya-ya after I said her hair is pretty.

To my horror, Yujie got really ding-dong and started to act cute.

To prevent myself from fainting, I looked away.

And to my ultimate horror, Zhumei was influenced by Yujie and started to act cute. Save me from these two siao-cha-bos!

In conclusion, this place is cosy and quiet during weekdays. A can-go-and-try-to-hang-out place. Drinks not marvelously nice though.

Cool display in Heeren..

Interesting and pretty gown.

Simply love the display! :)

Have been yearning to take a few pictures of these mannequins in Heeren and today, I finally did!

Wir waren im Stammtisch in Bukit Timah..

My side view.

Some Angmos having their dinner. I noticed some native germans sitting near the entrance. The Chef is actually a Swiss and we tried to speak german to him. (According to Ernest, Swiss speak French and German.) I realised that my german's like shit now and I really need some brushing up!
