7. How do you discuss the impending release of results with your friends?
a. Confidently, safe in the knowledge that you’ve done well, again.
. Desperately convincing them that your essay was not out of point, and that you were merely trying to answer the question “in a different way”.

d. Keep changing the subject whenever your pals broach the topic of exams.

8. What will you be doing the night before the release of results?
a. Sleeping soundly, because you know the A’s are in the bag.

d. Lying awake in bed, hoping that other students will form the bottom of the bell curve.
e. Suddenly realizing you forgot to do the year end feedback, and will get results two weeks late. Doh!

9. What is your “checking-results” strategy?
a. Wait for Dean to send his personal congratulations on topping the cohort.
b. Set up camp in front of computer awaiting impending release, while simultaneously shitting your pants.
c. After you get home from Christmas shopping.
d. Wake up first thing in the morning, say a prayer, and cover your eyes while checking.

RESULTS

Characteristics: Also about balance, but scales tip towards play rather than work. Fun-loving, some say hedonistic. New Year’s resolution of working harder is regularly unfulfilled.

During the semester: Spends large portions of the semester enjoying life. Despite a wake up call in the form of a bombed mid-term, you lose steam again until the study break. Copies friends assignments; skips lectures, sometimes tutorials. Has had the plagiarism act read out to him a couple of times.

Hobbies: Same as Average Joe, but with greater devotion.

Most visited NUS facilities: Dean's Office (for unfriendly chit chats)/Photocopying room.

Pet phrase: “Can I borrow your lecture notes? I didn’t attend…” Repeated almost weekly.

I admit sometimes my mind's like away on a holiday but I don't skip lectures and I only borrowed lecture notes for a few times only! I hang out in the photocopying room because I want to photocopy readings! 冤枉啊！
