Oh my god, I've got an overwhelming volcano of emotions now. Last night, my emotions were horrible as I find what I aspire for different from someone. Lack of communication, lack of understanding, lack of expression of care and concern. What's wrong with this world? Would it really kill you to express your real thoughts?
And when I've cried out all my stupid emotions last night on my bed, I'm now facing another piece of shitty news. My group report is not really done, according to one of my groupmates. I was supposed to be the compiler and ( oh my god, this really confirmed my negative thoughts about myself not being competent enough) supposed to look through the whole document and make sure everything flows.
I did browsed through the entire thing, edited one part which was done by two different groupmates, thus making it coherent, and making sure that the appendix flows and don't go "Appendix i" and then "Appendix B". I thought that was enough. I didn't really looked through the whole report thoroughly.
So the main point is, my groupmate looked through the report and edited from last night till this morning, hinting (think it's really obvious) that the whole report was not coherent and posted an announcement with one really hurting line,
"Am I supposed to do this?!"So isn't she trying to say I did not do my job well enough? Okay, I am not blaming her because I know I am indeed at fault but she doesn't have to be so straightforward and always treating me like dirt? One thing which I did not mention a week ago was that she sent me a msn message saying,
"Help me do this now. (Survey link)"She doesn't even care to ask if I am free at that moment. With the overwhelming-and-inconsiderate-aura around her, I feel threatened and sometimes, irritated with her. Am I your servant? Sorry, I am not. I signed out of MSN immediately. The next day, I blocked her. I am sorry lah, I just don't like the way you converse with me. Makes me feel inferior and stupid.
I know I shouldn't blame others for affecting my feelings because I always believe in choosing what I want, believing what I want to believe, feel how I want to feel, think what I want to think. It's just that I am still a human afterall. And as a human being, I self-doubt, get affected by other people and think for others as well. But never would I make anyone inferior because I know I am not that superb afterall.
But apparently, this person thinks she is the most powerful person lah. With all the praises she receives, she seems to be floating in her own world and doesn't really care how people feel.
When I asked her about something, she just went,
"That means I have to do a lot leh."For your information, I only asked a question. I did not instruct you to do a certain thing. I am seldom that directive. (Other than organising outings which is going to be ceased because of loads of negative feelings. Please don't ask why. I will puke on you.)
If you think you're really that good, you might as well do a research on your own, construct your own research question (since you think that your idea for the research question is the best), conduct your own interviews according to your own timing (so that you won't think that I am rushing you), and type your own report (to ensure that your report flows just in case the compiler is kns).
In any case, the whole project is a group effort, you can't blame others unless you're really that good. And if you're really good, go tell Dr. Choo that you can manage the project by yourself. I am doing this group project because I have no choice but to be in the same group as you and even though (I am so sorry to say this but) I don't enjoy doing this project with you, I still hanged on.
I never said I am superb at compiling or typing reports, but at least I tried. Did anybody acknowledge that? I am afraid not.
P/S: I apologized to my other groupmates about my inadequacy in my role. I do feel guilty and ashamed for underperforming but I feel more ashamed for this person who never ever made an effort to build a normal rapport with me.
