帅哥! 帅哥! Bring me the pail!

Yesterday I chanced upon Brokeback Mountain's official website while searching for Der Untergang (The Downfall) the movie review. Challenge yourself by reading a german review on this fantastic movie. It's about the last days and the downfall of Nazi-Germany. I'd give 4 out of 5 stars to it.

As I was surfing german websites, I ended up watching Brokeback Mountain's trailer in german. It was damn cute and funny.

Like what Herr Chan said :Even Gong Li speaks perfect german. Hehehehehe...

I wish I knew how to quit you. (Sadly, this line was said with much desperation.)

And well, love is a force of nature.

I have decided that I should record what I do everyday, especially on days when I have german lessons. I don't want to forget them!

Went to school early today and watched Miracle (2004). It was very nice, exciting and inspiring!! :D Watch it if you have the chance! Thanks Ellen, for the recommendation. Here's a review on it.

Even me, a kuku at ice hockey, was touched and inspired by the movie. I basically have a soft spot on sports and sportsmanship stuff. The determination of the coach, the team spirit, the way they believe in themselves...

Another plus point is the exciting hockey scenes, if I were to be in somewhere else, I'd scream and shout!! Man it's so thrilling!! :)

Other than the excitment I got from the movie, I got to drool over many many hunks in the show. :D It's great (to see so many hunks at a time, especially in a sian morning).

It reinforced my thinking, that guys who play sports are damn 帅! The difference is, I don't limit the 'sports' to only basketball. Hockey also can. Haa!

Yesterday I reminded myself of my long-lost aim in life. It's scary how I actually 'lost' myself. Guess I have found my way finally. I hope I don't stray away again.

Manhatten's..

Me, Julia and Sharon finally ate at Manhatten's Fish Market.The food was not bad, especially the sinfully-buttery-oysters.

Erm, are they oysters? Whatever la.

Before that, me and Julia went to Kinokuniya (which I happily misunderstood for Cineleisure because she keeps saying "Kino" and Kino is german means cinema.) Not funny i know. But I was wondering why I took a long time to process what she said. :X Signs of aging!!

Luckily in real life, they are not gays. It would be so wasted can?

Wurst Tag und Paulaner's!!

Actually the Wurst Tag is not as grand as I thought it would be. And the wurst is not as fat as Joan imagined it would be. I think the venue affects the grand-ness. By the way, it's held in China Town. And there were tonnes of ah pehs and old ladies. The $3 that we paid for the wurst will be donated to some association which I didn't bother to find out. :X

Next we proceeded to a food court to have shaved ice because Paulaners will only open at 6.30pm. Boo. Food was great! We were like tourists, taking photos of every single thing everywhere. I ordered my favourite dish, Sliced Chicken with Mushroom Zurich-Style!! :D

The restaurant is very cosy and I love the circular seating!! One plus point is that we can have easy access to food which we were sharing!

The atmosphere is more of friend-dy than lovey dovey. So it's a great place to go with your friends! And if you're afraid of awkward times during dating, this should be a great place too!! (In other words, you can see that I love this place!! Woohoo!)

Me and Joan discussed our Referatskizze (Oral Presentation Outline) today. It's going to be damn interesting, at least for the two of us. Yeah! I am so looking forward to it!!

I realise I enjoy every social work class. I wonder if everyone feels the same way as me, doing the things they like every other day. It's a wonderful feeling. Though i got suan-ed by Dr Timothy Sim for many many times, I have learned a lot and hopefully remembers what he said and practice social work flexibly. Every social work lecture or tutorial sets me into the thinking mode and I love it. It really makes my brain work. Social work mates, do you all feel the same too??

Natuerlich mag ich auch jeder Deutsch Unterricht!! :D With Herr Chan, such a warm, patient and fun teacher, there's never a boring sian-y lesson. I simply love him. Erm, that explains why I am talking more and more in class. I mean, lessons are fun to the extent that I really want to participate in it. That's wonderful isn't it?

Erm........ for History class, unfortunately I am not enjoying them as much as others. All because of the B******L rhetoric I receive in lectures. Puke. And PR2202? Science. Puke noch einmal.

I wonder if I can do 7 modules a semester because if I can do so, I will change my major to social work and put that HY2247 into my UE bin.

Today's german tutorial is a little slow in pace and there's this dead air surrounding us.

Ahh, getting knowledgable by watching movies. I admit I am a lot more ignorant than my counterparts.I completely don't know what is cricket and how it is played. But now I know! :)

I couldn't quite understand why I teared during the match. I was simply touched by the villagers' spirit and felt pity for their plight. Three years of Lagaan (tax) will be cancelled if they can defeat the British in a game of cricket. White Man's Burden will not longer be a burden. :D

Nice movie! But I think part of the reason that I like this show, is because I have some understanding of colonialism back then. Maybe people who never studied the history of colonialism might not be able to understand the essence of the movie. Erm, I don't want to rant my opinions about colonialism here but you can ask me personally. ;P

First time at Jacks' Place..

Just arrived school and had the urge to blog just in case I forgot what happened just now.

Today I met Grace at Clementi Swimming Complex to have a morning swim. It didn't help in getting me into the energetic mood and I was all the more nua after the swim. But haa! I completed 8 laps! :D

After that, we went to Jacks' Place. It's my first time there. Jacks' Place always remind me what Mr Ng (nicknamed Charlie Ng) said.

"My son is cold, hungry and lonely." (Mr Ng then displayed his typical smile.)

"I... bring my wife to Jacks' Place."

My cute art teacher who guided me and always give support to us. Love him!

P/S: Mr Ng says his son was waiting for him to fetch him when we asked for extended arts lesson. Wahahahahahahaha...... And that became one of our jokes up till today. ;)

Back to food, the main course (fried dory) was okay. I like the soup and the dessert though! It's some veggies soup and apple kuchen? Ahh.. I am not good at describing food due to my limited vocabulary and lousy grammer (as pointed out by a dear friend. I feel so paiseh.)

It's always very nice to be able to talk to grace. I love you! I like your strong way in not giving in totally and be a weak girl who just gives in to her boyfriend. Good attitude. I don't think I can be that strong. Well, think there's so much to say but so little time. Next time must go for Coffee together okay? And if possible and erm, comfortable? I want to get to know Shaoyi more. Afterall he's my best friend's boyfriend. I must know him and he'll feel pressurized to treat you good! *grinz*

I didn't score very well for german, as expected. German lesson was fun. Erm, let me recall a bit by looking through my notebook.

And the 'Wurst' which I always mention means the BIG BIG thing sausage which we slice before eating, and not the small ones we eat. We can call the small sausages Bratwurst or Wuerstchen.

Question: 8 criteria for my ideal partner (from Julia)

1. Must have 上进心.
2. Must be reasonable.
3. Must not talk or laugh too much or too loudly.
4. Must be appreciative of me and whatever I did for him.
5. Must look appealing to me. (Sorry. Must be tall enough and has enough meat.)
6. Must not nag at me (One excellent example will be asking me not to play mahjong)
7. Must always be clean-shaven and must have short and neat hair. (Tom Albrecht as an exception, AUSNAHME~ :P)
8. Must be very patient and understanding towards my blurness. And cannot tease me non-stop for that.
9. Must be proud of me. (even if i am not pretty, i'm sure there is something good about me and must not criticize me infront of other people. Even if criticism is reasonable, he should be sensible enough to reason it out with me when there is nobody around us.)

I believe my list is never-ending so I shall end here. A few of the criteria are gathered from experience by friends. I know I am not perfect but this is just what I am trying to look for la. So girls, once you spot such a freak, tell me. I'll fly to him.

Today I have added point no.3. Can you recall scenes of guys laughing at girls? Or guys comparing girls' looks and brains? I have overheard all those horrible stuff and I know what the guys mean. Those guys deserve a kick in the ass. Some of them are not even of boyfriend material. Weird dress sense, laugh in a rowdy manner. You name it, the lousy guys have it. You are not even perfect can? So, don't criticise people! I have horrifying experiences before and therefore my strong belief in not attacking peoples' physical characteristics. Brainless freaks. 没教养，没评格．

Today's German Praeteritum Test was fun! I was shivering from the cold and of course from fear that I cannot score for myself. It ended up to be a group effort thingy which I am glad so that other people can help me out.

I know I may be making a big fuss but I called two of my friends before today's SUPPOSEDLY existent tutorial at 10am. And both of them called me at 10.35am when I already felt so cheated and went all the way from AS6 to AS7 (mind you it's a long distance okay!).

Like what my mum always says, "等你有反应时，人已经死了啦!"
