Happy Mothers' Day!
I've got quite a few postcards of this design. Request from me if you want. Hee.
German postcards?
I also got! And I got LOADS of them. Teeheehee...
Oh yes, Julia showed me an article written by Peiqi.
From a child's point of view. Interessant.
She wrote an article with regards to the inability of adults in understanding children's point of view.
Peiqi, you not bad wor! ;)
And, this oh-so-social-work quote from Serene.
"Behind the labels and diagnoses are REAL PEOPLE, who, no matter what others may think, have ideas, thoughts, opinions and ambitions."

Gaining momentum..
We ate lunch together as a big group. I quite like the atmosphere there. It's rather cosy and warm. The people are nice and all. There's this guy (who's pretty young) who explained some activities that we would be doing together. His activities are very happening- a night hike (in fact, it's overnight!), visits to Changi, etc.
We are also involved in group work, which is a part of social work that I'm very much looking forward to. I don't really know how to explain what is group work. I tried explaining to my mum and she ended up having the impression that people are just there to share their views. Gosh.
Oh, and I am required to write a logbook to "communicate" with my supervisor. I think it's a pretty cool idea. Right now, I have three notebooks in my handbag- one for work, the other for personal recordings and the last one is my logbook.
Oh yes. One very important thing I did today during tea break. I ate 汤圆s!! They're so so so yummy!! Two with yam filling, one with 豆沙, and the last one with peanut.

First day at work..
What's this supposed to mean?

"Please give me a man and a woman who I can shine upon and warm," says the sun.

"Please, give us some children so we can share our love," says the couple.

"Please, give us a house to live in, to protect us and to be our home," says the family.

"Please, give me a garden with plants, so I can provide food and flowers for my family," says the house.

"Please, give us some bees and butterflies, so we can grow and have some life in the garden," say the flowers.
"Please give us a sky we can fly in," say the butterflies.
"Please give me some stars that twinkle happily, so that the people have something to reach for, guide and inspire them. " Says the sky.

Choir Days Flashback..
I don't know exactly why I like choir so much. I don't know how to read tau gehs, I don't know how to play piano. But I think I sing well and I am sort of good at remembering tunes and tones or whatever you call that. I can remember the exact sound of the notes at the beginning of songs. But that's the only thing I know.
AJChoir, plain interest, beautiful memories.
Pictures were taken from my old picture album. Bear with the blur-ness.
AJChoir Concert 2002 when I was J1,
Rachel, Jessalyn, me and Huixian in our pretty gowns.
(We sew the shiny things ourselves!!)
Prague Trip 2002 (when I was J1)
It was a damn memorable trip. We won gold for the competition!! :D
And I had my very first trip to Europe then! It was ultra exciting for me because it's my first time travelling so far without my mum. A pity I didn't really explored Prague enough. I think I was too naive then.
Altos!! :D
Xiaoyun, me, Libing, Xiaomei, Jessalyn, Allyssa and Huixian.
Manhong, me and Xiaoyun at Victoria Concert Hall. :)
I think it's SYF 2003.
AJChoir in flowery clothes.
And, not to forget, the first time I receive real flowers. Thank you girls! :)
That's all for now. Perhaps more flashback when I think back more and get more emotional.
Short People... doo doo doo~!
Allyssa, me and Xiang Ji (who's in FASS and I am totally blur about this fact! Gosh.)
I took a secret video in the dark (camera hidden in my pocket) just because I wanted to do so. But later I realise it's very important because they won't have practice on Monday and I just learned the two songs only TODAY!! So I can just keep listening to this clip and recall the notes.
Short people are just the same as you and I,
all men are brothers until the day they die..
Ah, see! Tall people don't laugh at short people okay!
Sorry, bear with the darkness. You can read on as you listen to how we sang. And please pardon some weird notes because this is our second time practising. Gahhhhhh!!! :X
Actually in this clip, you can hear some mistakes made if you know some main music stuff or if you have been a choir member. So paiseh~!!! Altos sang some wrong notes! :X
Tau Gehs!! Long time no see!! :D Well, actually you all know me, I don't know you all! :PpP
Anyway, it's a pretty cute song about Short People. Allyssa saw the song name and said, "Huixian (our Sectional Leader), I don't think I can song this song." Muahahahahahahahahaa...
The next video you can hear the guys singing their own song. You will be able to hear some "trickle trickle.." so I think it's some song about rain. Other than that, some small talk between girls.
Here you go!
Xiang Ji: 好像 sian sian 这样.
Cindy: 还讲我们不够cheerful.
Because there's this guy who said we are not cheerful enough!
Take a look at the concert ticket. So cool!![]()
Do you know how our tickets used to look like? Pathetic, plain, easily torn. Tsk.
Next week is going to be so happening! Will definitely update every single details about the choir performance, so stay tuned! :D
Judging from the tone of this entry, you can sort of guess my mood now!! :D
ICH BIN GLUECKLICH!!! SEHR GLUECKLICH!!
Another question.
Guess what is it?

Can see that I am quite bored?
| Your Theme Song is Back in Black by AC/DC |
![]() "Back in black, I hit the sack, I've been too long, I'm glad to be back" Things sometimes get really crazy for you, and sometimes you have to get away from all the chaos. But each time you stage your comeback, it's even better than the last! |
| You Should Get a JD (Juris Doctor) |
![]() You're logical, driven, and ruthless. You'd make a mighty fine lawyer. |
I don't think I am suitable to be one. Muahahahaha..
永不放弃!
I went to school at 4pm (weird timing) today to see Dr Timothy Sim (again) for discussion of our examination question. I admit, I am one of those who did badly. I didn't really applied what he taught us. Even if I did applied, I must have applied my knowledge in an inadequate way. So, I offered to take notes and put it up on forum. I am a little lazy now but I thought it's a good form of revision. Some of the things stated by him seem very simple but perhaps my brain is just not up to his standards.
He asked us if we were excited for Fieldwork. I said I am worried. And (freakingly) when I said that I could feel my tears rolling around the rim of my eyes. Gosh. I am afraid to say that I am having some sort of a fear now. Urgh. Those same old "scared" feeling.
But I know I will be able to do it. I can psycho myself. I can encourage myself. I can do it.

Ellen, Ningjia and Annie's Birthday Gathering..
Me and Julia headed Chinatown for German Sausages (Wuerstchen) because she didn't know where the stall is. So I brought her there with a little difficulty. Muahahahahaa..
Look at how satisfied our Julia looks after eating the sausages.
We are sorry, Ifah, that we were late. We reached Clark Quay..
later than Sharifah and.. she examined Ellen's Monopoly. And they started to discuss how expensive certain local buildings are while I trudged behind.
We headed to Settlers' Cafe at a very ulu part of Clark Quay but decided to change the venue since Annie couldn't come and the cafe looked crowded and we were lazy to book seats beforehand. So, we walked to Coffeebean beside Singapore River!

Sharifah and Me waiting for the Ultimate. :D
I feel like a tourist.
Me and Singapore River.
Ifah, me and Singapore River again.
After finishing our coffee and trying to find out where the mysterious smoke came from, we went to Marina Square...
(Freaking $23 bus ride. I die also won't board it. Sharifah said the tourists can board the normal double-decker bus and still "stay on the top" when it rains.)
At Secret Recipe, we had our cakes specially for Ellen, Ningjia and Annie.
We decided to celebrate earlier and sing the Birthday song earlier. :)
Early Celebration, starring Sharifah, Julia and Cindy.
Yummy chocolate chip walnut cake! :D
*rubs tummy*
Not forgetting the GIGANTIC curry puff with veggies we had too.
I felt so bloated from my coffee and we ended up forcing each other to eat.
Almost got into a fight (just like what happened on Monday).
After a few hours of aimless window-shopping, Ellen, Ningjia and Weishang finally came.
We'd a few choices actually. Firstly, a spaghetti place, Kenny Rogers, Cafe Cartel, etc. But we decided to go to the Fin to try something new.
Ellen with her Singapore's version Monopoly. (Notice how happy she is.)
Ningjia and her vouchers.
The food we ordered.

Clam Chowder! *rubs palms*
Finally, us!
For a post with loads of superb adjectives and nice words used, please refer to Julia's blog.
Julia, I don't mind an early birthday present. Muahahahahahaa...
