The African Dreamers!

We started off the lovely afternoon with dim sum high tea while WC was still around... played this very simple yet meaningful game which allowed us to better understand each other. It was kind of heartwarming actually. Now I know, WC doesn't take coffee and JY dislikes laces, haha.

We pondered (real hard) whether to eat icecream or not... until JY gave us the idea to visit this lovely place, which I insisted to go because I haven't been there before. :P

We love the scenery!

:'(

That's not the way things should be.

Heal the world.

After work, I chiong-ed to settle some stuffs. I reached my destination on the dot, and the place was already closed. The uncle (who must have saw me panting) allowed me to go in- he is so nice lah! The world will be a better place with such people around! =)

I see a tall and thick brick wall. And shit is constantly being flinged onto me. Someday I'm gonna conquer the brick wall. Someday.

Currently enjoying Utada's latest music. I can't resist from buying her albums. =)

Someone heal the world- more nice people and less shit please.

Bread and butter #295 (Still Lovable.)

Today's group work with my Lovables is totally in a mess. I am TOTALLY CONVINCED that the lack of structure and good preparation will lead me directly to HELL during group work. I was so tempted to talk to them using my children style, but I refrained myself from doing so. They're youths. They're older already. I'm sure they can take back something and sit on it. But the HELL just now was kind of overwhelming, I felt like stoning them. I didn't know what to do...

Never mind. I shall learn from this lesson, and stay focused on my ultimate goal- I want the best for my kids. I'm one step closer to success. Can already imagine two persons agreeing with what I said- Carl Rogers and Icecream. =)

The Lovables will be lovable.

According to http://www.friendshipstats.com...

I have 350 friends, 230 more than average. 31% are male, 69% are female. 69 are single, 91 are dating or married. If I contracted a deadly variant of flu, I would likely infect 12 people, 2 of whom would die. When I share something on Facebook, it is typically viewed by 24 people. If I died today, an estimated 475 people would try to attend my funeral. Based on my Facebook profile, I have a 92% probability of getting married. I am likely to earn US$2.7 million and have 2.4 children over my lifetime. Calculate your own stats at http://www.friendshipstats.com.

I know that this is probably not true, but would like to try it out nonetheless, haha.

Bread and butter #293 (A breather, finally.)

It has been pretty hectic at work for me. For my colleagues too, I think. I'm rushing stuffs for Monday on Sunday... for Tuesday on Monday... feels like some kind of never-ending race.

On Tuesday, I kind of lost my cool at the girls who perpetually didn't want to try. They refused to try continuously for the past few weeks already?! I think I have had enough of coaxing them- I said, "You haven't even try, how you know you can't?!" It has been a while since I last raised my voice at them, so they were slightly surprised. Yes, with some step-by-step coaching, they finally tried! I wish they can understand the value of trying, and will never say never way before they even try. Looks like this is something that we ought to work on.

Amidst the mad rush at work, I'm glad that I'm in a pretty good shape since last weekend. Had a really relaxing time with the picnic gang and had some good laughs. Can't help but remind myself to stay calm, happy and hopeful towards almost everything... and I think I know why I managed to... =)

It's Thursday, but I'm already looking forward to the weekend. Wheee, I can't wait. =)

15th August- Lin Xu's Birthday Picnic.

It was particularly cloudy that day, and I feared that it would rain. So glad that God decided not to rain on us... if not, we wouldn't be able to have so much fun and laughter. =)

This cruel world #5 (Maybe...)

I should dig a hole and hide myself in it... if possible, live there.

So that I don't have to face this ugly and cruel world.

Bread and butter #292 (Excellent work!)

YEAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My group work session went well, and the students were able to carry out the tasks as how I would wish them to! It was simply GREAT. I am so so happy now... Wahahahaha!

I take back my words this morning.

I am afterall, excited for the upcoming project with the Miracles. =P

Thanks to BT and PY for their assistance and reminders.

Bread and butter #291 (OT.)

I'm going to bed soon.

This is the retribution of slacking and totally not thinking or doing any work over the long National Day weekend.

But aren't we all supposed to relax over the long weekend?

This project that we are embarking for the Miracles is kind of giving me a bit of stress. Now that my usual work seems to be never-ending, I can't really recall the excitement I have for this project at the beginning liao.

Hmm, never mind... blame it on my brain processing speed... it can't really process very well after 2 counselling sessions and 2 group work sessions within a single day. I almost died can.

Tomorrow's schedule:
9.30-10.30am Counselling
12.35-1.45pm Group Work
2.00-3.00pm Drop-In
4.00-5.00pm Counselling
7.00-9.00pm Meeting

@.@

I have two pending case recordings- I hate to procrastinate! Gonna get them done by tomorrow!

Think I would need good coffee... let's pray that I can survive till the end of this week.

Yeah! Go, go, Cindy!

Why feeling sad is no reason not to be happy.

Choose a liminal place near you. Perhaps a cafe, a bridge, an airport, a waiting lounge in a train station, a pathway between two places, a hotel lobby, a leafy garden arbour. If you prefer to experience this at home, go to your balcony or verandah or place a chair directly under a door frame.

Go there and absorb the feeling of the space. Experience how you are free to just observe when you are in a liminal place. In the privacy of your mind you may wish to briefly salute the past, and touch lightly on the empty space of the future, and then settle here in the space between them both. Take in the sounds of clinking cultery, people walking, children playing in the distance. If you are at an airport, enjoy that you are not queuing at the check-in, or rifling through your pockets for passports, tickets of timetables. Watch the ebb and flow of traffic. Sometimes there is a crush of bustling people, then it empties and becomes still for a while. Just be here in this liminal space. No conclusions to reach, no plans to make, nothing to solve. For now, you don't know, and you can experience the subtle release of a liminal place. Linger there in silence for a while and then leave when it's time.

Smile, 'cos it's the long weekend!

My long weekend has been shiok so far.

On Saturday, I joined my kids in their NYAA journey, and will be trying my very best to achieve the bronze award! That is only one of my upcoming personal goal! =)

Originally wanted to hike with JY on Sunday, but ended up shopping at Vivo because we were too tired to wake up early. But we have many upcoming outing ideas! Dim sum, hike, Pulau Semakau, JB, etc. And of course, not forgetting our picnic next Saturday. Dear Fun, here I come! =) I spent quite a bit shopping, but am feeling very happy after that... Wahahaha.

And finally, today (the last day of the long weekend) I'm nua-ing at home... writing my overdue diary entries and recalling nice things that have happened over the past few days. I'm going for a jog later. Clocking my hours for NYAA as well as clocking hours for my another personal goal.

Had a nice chat last night- about self, family, children, youths as well as adults. It was an unique and affirming experience. Must remember to get the book!

P/S: Didn't see my Cactus children on Friday, and I'm missing them. Awww, though they always make me wanna kick them. Will be training them for a cheer in the upcoming EMIT! Launch (another upcoming haha), am excited for it already. =P

Ice-cream!

The Ice-cream actually melts! =)

CHANGE!

"Everyone is an unique entity. When differing views arise, and when people try to get the other parties to accept their opinions with no room for negotiation, it will only result in a conflict.

But, if we were to try to sit down and talk it out, try to understand each other's point of views and negotiate for a win-win situation... wouldn't it be better?..."

Can't really remember the exact words that Takuya Kimura used, but it was so so inspiring! I hope I can somehow catch the drama! =)
