Bread and butter #237 (Leggings Fiesta.)

Theresa invited us to her house for a CNY dinner.
The very very yummy fish.
And of course, not forgetting the spicy prawns.Bessey and Peiyi. Benjamin and Xinyan.
It's so obvious that Benjamin has something against me. He said he was hungry. COME ON!
Opening the bottle of goodness.
Teamwork- what we're best at! Women are always spared from the manual work.
Yu sheng- which was bought in a super efficient manner. One queued, one grabbed the smoked salmon, and the last one grabbed the yu sheng.
Browsing through memories.
Old friends- I personally like these two sepia shots a lot. Yannie and the piano- something that I want but I can't.
One of Charlie's angel. She forgot that she needs to iron her clothes.I want to squeeze all the stupid **** out of you! (PY, 2008)
The ladies.Silly idea proposed by the usual silly one.Lastly, two group photos.Benjamin is so lucky to have so many lovely ladies behind him all along...!
This is what Seng Meng insisted on seeing:
Went over to his house later in the evening. And Wii-ed all the way. Benjamin earned himself a punch for playing cheat!
I'm glad I didn't step on Seng Meng's toe while boxing with Xinyan! Anyway, I beat him at Wii Boxing! (And Peiyi beat Benjamin!)

Bread and butter #235 (Childhood fantasies unleashed.)

Met up Jie Jiun, Benson, and Melodyee together with Theresa. And thanks to Jie Jiun's brilliant idea, Theresa guided Benson in fulfilling his childhood fantasy... while I helped Jie Jiun in unleashing his inner emotions.
He was supposed to look drunk. Not very convincing leh. Somehow this photo reminds me of the black statues that can be found along Clarke Quay. Thanks for the time, everyone. And thank you, Benson, for organising!

Bread and butter #234 (Intrauterine Insemination.)

Found out that I do not necessarily need to adopt- I am going to have Intrauterine Insemination.

Actually, adoption may not be a bad idea. But I'm not sure why, I just can't quite accept it as part of me. High expectations of myself to conceive, perhaps... Just don't like the idea of adoption, maybe... Like what someone said, I am in search of worker's pride. My objectives are different now- different from when I first started, definitely.

I can't conceive naturally (yet), but I thought Intrauterine Insemination might be able to better fit my needs as compared to adoption. On top of that, I have a skillful midwife with me. So, why not?

Till then, I will wait patiently for the day when I can conceive naturally. I definitely can.

*Don't worry, I'm just being metaphorical (again).

Bread and butter #232 (South West District Social Service Award!)

My dear senior, colleague cum great friend, Seng Meng has been nominated for the South West District Social Service Award!

He is one of the few persons who inspired me greatly in this field, and has definitely brought about a lot of positive influence in his fellow colleagues, students, schools and the community.

Do show your support by voting for him!!! :)

P/S: Dear Seng Meng, so happy that you got nominated, and that your efforts are being recognised. Even if you never get nominated, you'll still be one of the best social workers around! Jiayou! :)

Bread and butter #231 (Adoption.)

I've adopted.

Am I going to give it up?

Will I have to adopt again?

When can I conceive?

*Don't worry, I'm just being metaphorical.

病猫...

It started off with a fever... then cough... then sore throat full blast. I hate having sore throat!
By the way, it's great to have someone to prepare this for you when you're feeling heaty. The irritating sore throat got me buying three types of lozenges and medicine. Absolute craziness, I know. And from that, I learned an important lesson too, hahahahahaha.

Get well soon, Cindy, you need to meet your geen nas soon!

Bad photographers.

Photography is about capturing moments, people, and beauty of the world.

It can be a flower, a balding tree, a hand, a book, a statue, a building, a beautiful lady, a super cute baby, whatever you want to capture...

And of course the essence is, to capture it in a beautiful way.

Even though my photographic skills are not superb, I try to make my subjects beautiful or at least pleasing to the eye. I believe that no matter how ugly the subject is, there is always a way to make it look nice. At least I will try.

And if I can't achieve the "pleasing to the eye" standard, I will not showcase the photo. It'll probably end up in my archives or recycling bin.

But apparently, there are people who take ugly photos. I have nothing against that, really. What I'm anal about is they upload ugly photos of others without their permission. When I say "ugly", I mean- when someone is rolling her eye, when someone has a weird expression on her face, when someone's panties are showing, or when someone's tummy is showing. I personally screen out those photos before I upload them online- either crop it, cover the face, or simply NOT UPLOADING it lor. What's so difficult with that.

How do you know that your subjects are alright with you uploading their ugly photos online?

Seriously, would you want someone to upload a photo of you with a badly receding hairline? How about a photo of you with big pores and pimples? In addition, the focus of the photo is you? Meaning, it's just you and yourself in the photo?

This is...

freakingly

IRRITATING.

Cheeky boy! Ahh, gugu is looking forward to seeing you again!

Bread and butter #230 (Love at first sight.)

Today, I went to meet the new batch of students from my favourite school. According to feedback from school, they're a challenging bunch. And because I was being assigned a new role, I somehow have some anxieties in me already before I went down.

Upon meeting the students, I thought- yeah, they are indeed challenging. But they are so young... so moldable... so much potential. In fact, they're cute and adorable! And I'm starting to fall in love with the ABs in the class already. They're so cute lah! Can't wait to get to know them better and journey with them.

BT had the same feelings too. He labeled this feeling as "love at first sight". And because of this, I shall name them the Lovables! :P

I named my Secondary 3 class the Miracles, and my favourite Secondary 4 class (last year) the Terrors. Interestingly enough, my favourite class was given the most horrendous name, hoho.

Cindy is looking forward to the start of groupwork with my Miracle Team! Woohoo!

*

With regards to Mo Qi Team's class, due to clashes in our schedules, I almost got kicked out of the team. Was super upset, because we swore to go through 4 years together with the class, see them graduate and celebrate our success with them. But?!

After some rearrangement, I am back on the team, but TW is not!!! :(

Will Mo Qi Team last till 2010?

An essential meetup with dear Elayne.

Without my spectacles, I can STILL recognise you, my dear. And of course, meeting you is always a happy affair.
Bought you something for your birthday.
Hope you like it!
