Did I say I scored badly for German Vocabulary Test. I was so damn disappointed and I could feel that Herr Chan's disappointed too. And to think that when Herr Chan said we performed better than the class last semester, I smiled a little. I shouldn't smile! Gosh. So 丢脸. I cant imagine myself getting a C for german. Oh God, no.... Please........ no C!!!

Look what I've prepared for my friends. Chocolates with my name pasted on to it. Happy Valentines' Day. If you happen to receive it, you're just heng because I did not really plan who to give and I just want to give out to whoever I see in school. Anyway, I still love you all, friends!

Simply adorable small little dogs lined up at the front of a blue car in my neighborhood! So cute!

One of my favourite lecturers on leave! Ms Nair, I want to take a picture with you! :D

Finally took a picture with the colourful and comfy seats! I am so glad that there's not many people in the library then.

Valentines' Day.

Today, I brought Xinyi to Westmall for dinner. Seeing couples everywhere and girls holding onto big bouquets of flowers, she asked,

"Jie Jie, why you got no boyfriend ah?"

Good question. I thought. But I don't know how to answer.

"Eh... how I know?"

Hahahaha.

Had a sudden urge to wish all my friends a happy friendship day. So I sent out loads of sms. In return, I received interesting smses from some of them.

For example, Jane: "...Remember to love and pamper yourself!"

You mean, I don't pamper myself?

Then from my sayang lydia: "Awww... Happy valentines' to my sweetie pie!! Muah.. *shoots arrow at cindy*"

Ouch!

Then an unconventional message from Sharon: "Hoho send my flying kiss across space and distance to you!"

So not Sharon. Hahahaha...

To all my deary friends (whether you're attached or not), thanks for all your encouragement and support all along. I love all of you and hereby sending all my hugs and kisses across space and distance to all of you! :D

Nicht zweifeln, nicht nachdenken, einfach weiter gehen.

Do not doubt, do not think about, simply go further.

I shall not talk about love matters from this moment onwards. Life does not revolve around it. I shall go ahead, think ahead. Be a strong person. Thanks to encouragement from Grace and Yujie and thanks to Joan. Though I didn't tell you much, the chat with you was comforting somehow.

Happy Valentines' Day people!! :D

Sharon's and Ifah's 21st Birthday Celebration!

It was a long and tiring day. Er, perhaps we ate too much. SINFUL AH!! :X
The food was great and hope the two girls enjoyed their day.

I don't really know how to start this entry because I am in a really blur state now. So just look at pictures la.

These are the earrings for Sharon. Aren't they lovely?! (They are available in Watts In. I'd love whoever who gets them for me. Er, take back my words, not whoever.)

Got to West Mall to grab a cake for the girls.

Me and Ellen. *stomach growls*

Wahlao. The rest would'nt understand how hungry we were while waiting for them. Always late one them! That's hungry me and pretty Ningjia.

Two of the yummy dishes. Lady fingers and sweet and sour fish. VERY NICE!!

Tao Hu Goreng, Chilli Prawns and Soya Sauce Chicken. Very catered to Singaporeans' tastebuds and I totally love it.

Before eating your food Ellen, pay tribute to Goddess Cindy.

So many wet tissues, never bring home very wasted leh.

Cindy: Give me, give me! I want to bring home and use!!

Closeup on the mango cake. *yummy*

Birthday girls with the mango cake.

As Ellen and Julia are too slow, Sharon and Ifah had to act as if they're blowing the candles. duhhhh...

Us with the mango cake. (julia's falling asleep because she ate too much chilli prawns.)

After eating so much, we visited Kids' Heaven!

We found real interesting stuff like princesses' dresses and even the mermaid's costume! Check out the Toy-Z-Rus soon if you are free. You'll definitely miss your childhood times and yearn to turn into a child again! Kids nowadays are so fortunate!

Sharon choosing toys for her daughter.

Julia shows off her fan.

Elmo and Barney staring at each other.

Our hearts are definitely still young.

Julia getting all high when she sees him.

Am I cute?

Real roses are not practical. Afterall, they will die. I prefer fake ones.. OR (as what julia said) diamonds. More practical because they're for forever!

My eating kaki reminded me of what we wanted to eat together.. *salivates*

Ben and Jerry's!! Finally I am going to eat it!! *yummy* Thanks ah, sharon for seducing me into eating it.. haha..

I know this is gross, but I specially pui out the fish for you all to see. SEE!! I am so nice.. Bahhhh...

After eating this, Sharon suggested Cheesecake at Secret Recipe. Who's the one who said eating icecream after our HUGE lunch is sinful ah?? Well, didn't went for it because I felt so full and drowsy after eating so much. My food kakis are the best! 能吃是福!:D

P-I-S-S-E-D

I hate people who preach and say mahjong is no good for me.

Basically, I hate people who preach and make it sound as if I am a bad person. I mean, your thoughts can be put across in a more polite manner. Treat it as I don't understand english or I am just some idiot can? I don't care. I just hate it.

I hate it when people deduce who I am from how I look. I may look totally happy but I may not be happy inside. I may look fierce at times but that doesn't mean that I'll eat you up. Stop deducing me. Rather than doing that, why not interact with me more and find out for yourself?? DON'T JUDGE! If you want to judge, don't even tell me because it'll only make me feel disgusted.

I hate people who don't appreciate my efforts. I hate people who just blame people without knowing the truth. I hate people to just anyhow scold me as they like without thinking of my good points. I shall cease to be a nice person, at least to some people.

Today's such a busy day!!

I was at my Social Work department (AS6) this morning before my presentation and realised that there's the wordings there at the lift area. But, damn I look so tired. Shall take a nicer photo here again with my other SW mates.

Then I had my presentation, had lunch with Victor and Ming En and then, bia my german vocabulary. Felt so drowsy and pukish because I have not had enough sleep.

After German lessons, me and my classmates headed for Stammtisch!

Stammtisch is what leh? It's eating dinner with your german classmates and interacting with some germans lor. There's this german guy who said he heard a lot of Singlish and we commented that there's an art to it. You can't anyhow say ''la'', ''leh'', ''lor'', ''hor'' as you like, right?

Imagine..

"don't be like that leh.."
is different from
"don't be like that lor!"

And if you use ''meh'',
"Don't be like that meh.." is wrong usage of Singlish.

For more information on perfect Singlish, please ask any Singaporeans. :D

FFOOODDDDDD~!!! I have cravings for sweet stuff suddenly. (Dessert was 4 scoops of icecream! Yum yum!)

Thankyou Jia En for taking this group picture for us!

This is what I ordered. Spaghetti with crayfish. It's not bad eh! Victor, you should try!

That's me, Joan and Xinli, my buddy-buddy classmates for German 4.

After finishing our icecream, Xinli got all siao over the two red flowers on the table. And she started to force us to...

...pose with the two red flowers.

Erm, does she look happy or tortured?

Oh my. Teng Wen looked so girlish. Paiseh...

And lastly, presenting to you, stupid Ivan. (say, eeeevan~)

Some mundane stuff from me.

I realise it's been a long time since I blog mundane everyday happenings. Perhaps, it's just so bothersome to write everything down? Yesterday I had my German tutorial at around 4pm. I was together with Joan (She had lost her way. Finally someone is more blur than me!) and at around 4.15, another girl came and that's all. No one else came in and the lesson started. Throughout the whole two hours, there was a significant amount of awkward silence because there were only 3 of us?! But I tried my best to talk as much as possible liao. :P
I was being sa-boed to represent my group to talk about Uni-Heidelberg. Actually I don't mind but I hope I didn't sound very bad in german. Everything was so impromptu and speaking german in front of the whole class is rather stressful.

I tried to study in YIH reading room. I ended up sleeping. These few days, I don't seem to have the mood to bia in school. My assignments are piling up. Readings are piling up. Tests are coming up. Papers are to be handed in. It's little wonder why Singaporean students are forever so sian. I think the school should reward us. Hmm.. for me, food can do la. Wahahahahaha...

Sports and History lecture was very interesting today. We watched a few clips of this Canadian man learning a traditional Myanmar sport called Chinlone. Firstly I wasn't at all interested. But after seeing all those stunts involved in the sport, I wonder how did they did it. It was simply marvellous and all you will react is with a dropped jaw or by saying "wah."

More Chinlone!

Oh, by the way, that Canadian man seem to be interested in that Myanmar girl named Susu (the girl in red clothing). And according to the people who played Chinlone, it helps them to go into some trance state (which will only be achieved when one meditates) and according to the Canadian man, he enjoyed it like he enjoyed sex. Hmmm...

Insights from I Not Stupid 2 to add on to my knowledge from SW3216..

As I covered more and more Social Work modules and knowledge, I realised being a good Social worker is so not easy. I inspire to help or guide adolescents because as an adolescent, I hoped for certain things which were not given to me at all or perhaps, not enough was given.

But after watching I Not Stupid 2, I realise it's very difficult to help or guide adolescents. I put myself as a social worker and imagined the boy in the movie as my client. I completely don't know what to do. I realise somethings are just easier said than done. Help youths. How to help leh?

Whenever my social work lecturers give examples, I'll react with a ''Orh....". But when it's my turn to brainstorm, my brain just cant seem to get the right answer.

Interesting issues to be considered
1. Autonomy
2. Media
3. Communication
4. Punishment (Physical)

Timothy Sim said that we should never ask WHY because it involves a certain degree of blaming. And we shouldn't say WE UNDERSTAND because each situation is unique and we'll never totally understand how our clients feel.

Today, I concluded myself from I Not Stupid 2 is that we should never ever say to adolescents, "为什么你听不懂? 讲不听?" 因为,如果听得懂,讲有听,then they wouldn't be called 'adolescents' liao right? I believe what they need more is support and guidance rather than nagging and scolding. At least, this is what I feel.
