Alles auf Zucker!

A very satisfying movie experience.

Find out more about it!

I love the part when the handsome guy (Steffen Groth) said it's his first time. Cant stop laughing at the poor guy..hahahahahahaha...
Isn't he simply irresistible? (even though he stutters) I can understand why the niece was so desperate. Speaking of the niece, she studied law for the 22nd semester.. we were like... dumbfounded.

The 8 dollars is definitely worth it and the stingy kuku, who said that 8 dollars is against her principle, missed out the great stuff.

Xiang2 Qing1, me, Jane, Rita and Ying Fong going for Alles auf Zucker! :D

Lessons to be learnt..

Corporate Lesson #1:
A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower. The doorbell rings. The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbor. Before she says a word, Bob says, "I'll give you $800 to drop that towel." After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob. After a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves. The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, "Who was that?" "It was Bob, the next door neighbor," she replies. "Great!" the husband says, "did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?" Moral of the story: If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.

Corporate Lesson #2:
A priest offered a lift to a nun. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her habit apart to reveal a shapely leg. The priest nearly had an accident. After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand onto her thigh. The nun said, "Father, remember Psalm 129?" The priest removed his hand. But, changing gears, he let his hand slide up her thigh again. The nun once again said, "Father, please remember Psalm 129!" The priest apologized. "Sorry sister but the flesh is weak." Arriving at the convent, the nun went on her way.On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, "Go forth and seek further up, you will find glory." Moral of the story: If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

Corporate Lesson #3:
A sales rep, an administration clerk, and their manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie comes out. The Genie says, "I normally grant three wishes, but as there are three of you, I'll give each of you just one wish." "Me first! Me first!" says the admin clerk. "I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care in the world." Poof! She's gone. "Me next! Me next!" says the sales rep. "I want to be in Hawaii, relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life by my side." Poof! He's gone.
"OK, you're up," the Genie says to the manager. The manager says, "I want those two back in the office after lunch." Moral of the story: Always let your boss have the first say.

Corporate Lesson #4:
A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A rabbit asked him, "Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?" The crow answered: "Sure, why not?" So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested. A fox jumped on the rabbit and ate it. Moral of the story: To be sitting and doing nothing all day, you must be sitting very high up.

Corporate Lesson #5:
A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree" sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the energy." "Well, why don't you nibble on my droppings?" replied the bull. "They're packed with nutrients." The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, there he was proudly perched at the top of the tree. Soon, he was spotted by a farmer who shot the turkey out of the tree.Moral of the story: Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.

Chicken Little!

I watched the Chinese version. I don't know why the heck there's a chinese version one but anyway, it was weird listening to Chicken Little talking in Chinese.
Anyway, do you all remember the scene when the duck character was singing Karaoke? The song is Spice Girls' If You Wanna Be My Lover i think. They sang in it (oh my god) Hokkien. I guess the 配音 is done in Taiwan.

The main thing is, the line with "I wanna, I wanna, I wanna..." is sang like this..
"Wo siu be, Wo siu be, Wo siu be..."

I was laughing like mad and people who know me very well will know how I react when I see cute stuff. Think I made a shame out of myself in the theater. :X

I was very touched at the part when Chicken Dad told Chicken Little. It showed that no matter who you are, how you look, how you behave, your parents still love you.. I don't know the exact line because mine was in Chinese but I try to translate?

"If I made you think that you have to work hard in order to be loved, I'm sorry."

One thing I couldn't accept is that Chicken Little likes the duck. Why don't they create a character called Chicken Chick or Chicken Girl? Never mind.

Here are some pictures I ka-po ed from my friend's blog..

By the way, Chicken Little's called 鸡丁 and the fox was called 狐狸精.
And, according to Golden Village's Movie Guide, Chicken Little was supposed to be a girl. Why was there a change in sex?

SICKENINGLY PISSED.

.

.
but i guess I'll be okay by tomorrow. Don't wanna spoil my fun days ahead.

Busy Holidays!

Unlike Julia Cheot, I've already prepared all the Christmas cards for my best friend, jc friends, and university friends-6 beauties and german friends.. so proud of myself.. though I don't pluck veggies like her, I aspire to learn to cook some stuff so that I'll be a damn good housewife in the future. Crap.

This week's going to be an exciting week. Today, we're going to celebrate my mum's birthday. We're going Punggol, Changi Airport and Karaoke. Tomorrow, we're going to watch Chicken Little and visit my elder brother's new residence. Wednesday, I'm going to Edris' House- i.e, meeting JC pals. On Thursday, it's German Movie Day! :D

妈妈,生日快乐!!
祝你永远青春美丽! 开开心心 !

On Saturday, mum's ja-pa-lang soup just looks so appealing.. heee..:)

一时的冲动。。

My Biology paper is over!! YEAH!!! Burn the lecture notes!

After burning the papers, I went to Orchard. Think I was there too early? The lightings were rather disappointing.. the ones along the road are worse than this I think.

The only Christmas tree I spotted in Orchard Road..

Went past the toys and I cant help but pose with the toys.. just like what I did when I was small..

Notice that there's even Chicken Little miniskirt.. so cute!

FINALLY!

I finished all my papers with some ti-gam-ing for the 60 MCQs paper.. which was damn sucky.. I was so reluctant to refer to the textbook because I knew I won't find the answer even if I flip the textbook like a siao-ding-dong. I was surrounded by guys in the examination halls. Must guys always be so scienc-y?? And oh, not to mention, their continuous shaking of legs(there were three guys near me.. ALL OF THEM shook their legs and one of them even had a rhythm! Boy, you think you're in a band is it?), a constant body odour floating in the air, and occasionally farting. You know what I mean.

I went straight to the Library to borrow a book, A Scream goes through the House. (Yes, I'm that mad to find myself a book to read after reading so much readings for the past few months) I've been eyeing that book for the past few weeks whenever I pass by the shelves in Central Library. Having read the first page, I thought it would be great for me to act 'literature' in the holidays- read a book! And perhaps, write a review on it. Due to some itchy-ness for history, I borrowed a Japanese Communism book too. Cant wait to read them.

I sold my Biology textbook! So fast! It was not exactly sold but it was put on the waiting list to be sold. Nice service. On my way home, I also collected my German Vocabulary test which I didn't really study for.. Luckily I passed.

Oh oh oh!!!
DID I MENTION THAT I'M GOING FOR A GERMAN MOVIE NEXT THURS?!?! *hops*

I'm so damn excited! Having missed Kebab Connection, I'm not going to let another German movie fly pass! I'm planning to look out for every German Movie Festival!!! :D

A little survey..

  1. Do you dig your own ears?
  2. Do you dig your nose when no one's around you?
  3. Do you brush your teeth before you sleep?
  4. Do you pick on your leg skin?
  5. Do you smell your own armpits?
  6. Do you smell your socks after wearing them for a day?

Sounds gross I know.. If you bother to risk their shu nu xing xiang, you can tell me about them. Well, at least I dig my own ears on a frequent basis MYSELF.. not like someone.

Ich bin zurueck!

I am so damn bored! I have not been using internet/laptop for almost a week and think I'm dying from IT starvation.. It's like, for the whole day, you'll be thinking of the blogs you want to read, the websites you wanna check out and.. just some mingling around that you want before you dunk yourself right into the thick BIOLOGY textbook which you feel like burning. urgh.

My blog's been down for a week too because I made some changes and yeah, my laptop threw it's temper at me and decided to leave me for a holiday in the service centre.

The Social Work papers are quite tough.. not as easy as the studying process.. I could sense that my brain was working damn hard when I was answering the questions.. You really have to APPLY your concepts or else you will definitely sound like you are crapping your way through and that, is real bad.

Well, a mini summary about my papers.

My 2103 was a little bad.

My 2105 was a little better due to the fact that it is an open-book examination.. I happily quoted stuff from the readings in my essays.

My 2104? I was so damn lucky to have read an article on marriage before the examination proper.. I sort of memorised the points and BINGO, it was tested in one of the essay questions! I crapped my way through and ended up with three full pages for that one essay! And I am so damn heng to have spotted Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Theory (but sway enough to not read thoroughly) and crapped ALL THE WAY again.

Mind you, three pages is not that easy.. not as compared to essays I wrote during JC. I deduced (inaccurately) that it's because more application is required for higher level. What! Cannot make myself happier meh? Anyway, I studied like shit leh!

Biology? I wanna burn the whole textbook and all the lecture notes! I hate science!

I'd planned a mini class gathering at edris' house where we do the usual stuff- munching pizza while watching VCDs.. Just realised my bank savings have dropped quite a bit and thus, denying me a lot of things which I wanted for short-term enjoyment. I really wanted to earn as much as possible now so that I do not suffer after I graduate (when loads of loans come after you).

One thing I am VERY looking forward to, is a tentative Taiwan trip with my family..
YIPPIE!!

Me with my brother in the morning..

My first time doing Manicure and Pedicure.. LOOK LOOK LOOK at my shiny fingers!

Totally feel so pampered throughout the whole process.. :)

I specially took effort to not to bite my nails during the irritating examinations period okay!

My outfit for daytime..

I went to set my hair and boy am I surprised that the lao ban niang was so good at tying up hair.. looks gorgeous right?!?! The surprising thing is that you guys know how damn layered my hair is lor! And she manage to get them off my neck and stayed nicely on top. Wonderful!

Everyone said so :p...

...but they only said my back looks nice.. duhzzz..

The lao ban niang sprayed some pink stuff on my head.. nice! :)

(Notice that I'm wearing the earrings that you all gave me girls?)

Forgot to mention the little gift of the day.. chocolates with nice little gold ribbons..

My respectable (and idiotic) elder brother's Chinese Wedding..

A day my 大哥 and 大嫂 have been waiting for.. I am not totally into the romantic mood though.. I was hopping around for the whole day.. buying ice-cubes and fetching people from the MRT station.. and of course interacting with my "long-lost" cousins and relatives and old neighbours.. it's been such a long long time since I see them and when they see me, they only have one reaction..

"Wah! Ah ni dua liao ah!!"
(You've grown so BIG in hokkien)

Hey.. I don't eat liao bi (wasted rice in hokkien) okay..hahahahaha..

Alright so let me tell the whole story using pictures..

Before 9am..

the couple comes in..

No regrets??

.

.

.

NOPE!

The couple served tea to the grandmother.. (a pity that my other grandmother is no longer around. She really loves this grandson of hers)

The couple then served tea to their MUM of course.

The couple serves tea to my uncle..Okay.. I shall stop on the serving tea pictures.. got too many to show..

Thanks for all the help you guys gave to my brother!

The bride with the necklace my mum gave her..

After all the traditional processes, the adults requested the couple to pick numbers for them to buy chap li ki/4D..

Open open open..

After the couple left, me and my mum went to set our hair and we noticed this very interesting taxi.. It has money stuck of from its boot! So cute!!

Write your well-wishes for the couple! (AND PUT THE ANGBAOS INTO THE RED BOX RIGHT BEHIND THE WEDDING PHOTO)

As usual, I'm hopping around like a grasshopper, taking photos.

Our table (before the guests come)..

Who says I don't have boyfriendS! I have two leh!

The nicest photo of the day. yeah! :D

Me and my Jiu Jiu..

My brother and my mum..

Cheeky handsome boys of Ah Kiong Jiu Jiu.. ham sum boys~!!!

This is my uncle with Ah Beng Jiu Jiu and his family.. sweet little daughters they have..

Notice something?
That's Aniki Jin (in blue) in the background, according to my brother.

My uncle, Me, mum, Xinyi, and mum's friends.. That's Meili aunty in stripes.. used to cook yummy food for us when we were neighbours..

Actually all of us dream of planning our traditional Chinese wedding dinner. But the couple don't get lovey-dovey at the table.. They discuss what's gonna happen next. So not matching to our imagination. :P

The hosts requested my brother to carry the bride to her seat.. er.. looks heavy.. hahahaaaa..

Manage to catch the couple in a lovey-dovey (?) pose.. I'm so smart.

The couple pouring champagne..

My brother's new car A.K.A The wedding car..

CUTE RIGHT!!! (i mean.. the bears :P)

Do you all feel like getting married after seeing all the pictures?? I was wondering, at the age of 20, probably no one will come up with questions like "So when will I be able to drink your wedding dinner?" --> direct translation from chinese

But one of my mum's friend ask me jokingly.. when will it be my Big Day.

I replied with a big grin, "heh heh.. you wait la.."

Lastly, we shooked hands with most of the guests (because some just walk off).. and I have an irritation in my eyes and lips now.. probably because of the excessive makeup I had.. And oh!

I HATE MASCARA!

Have a nice day friends! Hope you all find the right one soon and don't forget to invite me to your wedding dinner!

My second 宝贝。。

And oh! I bought a camera for myself last week.. So messed up with my life such that I forgot to mention.. It is not very good but it has met all my needs so far. :)

Dear Sharon, I wont pester you with "bring your camera along" sms-es le! :D

My very first 旗袍..

One thing to be happy about among the irritating stuff,
mum made me a very nice 旗袍 which I have been hoping for..

Personally I feel that girls look very feminine wearing them.. Hope my big butt wont spoil the effect. :p

Muahahahaaa... nice and FREE OF CHARGE!

I'M SIMPLY IRRITATED.

SIAN!!! MUGGING BUT DON'T SEEM TO BE GENUINELY MUGGING.

I'M IRRITATED WITH MYSELF FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO READ MY TEXTBOOK AND READINGS MORE QUICKLY.

I'M IRRITATED WITH THE STUPID CHEEM TERMS OF SW2104.

(Anybody know the freaking difference between 'geriatricians' and 'gerontologist' ???!?!?!?)

I'M IRRITATED WITH THE WHOLE ***.

I'M IRRITATED WITH MY SKIN.

I'M IRRITATED WITH THE WEDDING DATE. SPOIL MY MOOD. WHILE ENTERTAINING GUESTS, I'LL BE THINKING OF SOCIAL WORK TERMS. HOW GREAT.

I'M IRRITATED WITH NOT BEING ABLE TO ENJOY TV AS MUCH AS BEFORE BECAUSE WHILE WATCHING, I'M THINKING OF HOW MUCH I STILL NEED TO STUDY..

SUCH A TRAUMATISING WORLD.. OR IS IT ONLY IN SINGAPORE THAT SUCH THINGS HAPPEN?

I REALLY LOVE STUDYING BUT STUDYING IN A TERTIARY INSTITUTION IS NOT FUN AT ALL.

* 抓狂*

Studying at home..

since Tuesday.. and I don't feel like going out.. to school because the crowd in Central Library is scaring me off. I am very tempted to take a picture to show how horrfiying it is but I guess I'll be killed by hundreds of students.. so.. never mind..

I feel so much calm-er at home.. Eat and shit as I like.. help my mum vacuum and mop the floor- I consider that as small breaks for me- and shake my leg like no one's business.. And most importantly, no need to put stupid stuff on my face to cover up all those flaws. People who have seen me in school but are shocked that I look like a ghost or didn't say hi.. Got reason one.. I don't wanna scare all of my friends away.. Yucky pimples love me. I got no idea why is this so. Go find those girls who have money to go for expensive facial sessions okay??

Anyway, I watched Korean dramas too.. have finished watching Full House.. going to repeat it during the holidays and return them to Xiao Wei.. Thankyou so much.. So entertaining!!

Full House was very boring at the start. The disgusting attitude of the female lead's friends really drives me mad. But as the story unfolds, the chemistry between the couple is clear for all to see. Nice show! :)

Talking about letting chances fly right out of the window..

NO ONE can beat me in that area.. I'm the 'DUMB-est' person on this earth.

...

Am I such a detesting person, such that you don't want to talk to me in a proper manner? You can talk to others in a totally angel tone and talk to me and I can feel that you feel dirty when you're talking to me. If not for what Grace had said, I would have quarrelled. I'm so damn irritated. You're not the only one of earth suffering. I am, too. You think what? My life sucks too. I got to work part time, pay my own bills and pay my own school fees, pay for my own meals.. You think I'm the most fortunate person? Your foot!

Pictures Galore(?) !

Got a hell lot to share but not a lot of time to spare.. Have been too tired and busy.. so enjoy the following pictures! :)

On Wednesday..

I took a photo with some of my SW2103 tutorial mates in the oily canteen..

Me and Rebecca.. The reason that I'm not posting all the fotos is because I don't look good in them. haha..
