Journal of a budding social worker #16 (April is Autism Awareness Month.)

Was having breakfast with mum while listening to her favourite FM 9.72 when the DJ announced that April is Autism Awareness Month!

"April is National Autism Awareness Month (NAAM)- an awareness initiative established in 1972 by the Autism Society of America (ASA)."

My interest and sensitivity to these awareness-raising stuffs and community resources have increased much eh, after my second placement and after the huge influx of information this semester. Being a budding social worker, I will definitely help to raise awareness as much as I can.
