Distant shores where lovers meet,
Blooming youth the flowers keep,
Golden hues of the sun so deep,
Facing out we dare to leap.
The code of heart I gladly yield,
To the naive senses emotions appeal,
Passion unwinds moments until,
My Fate, Your Fate, we solemnly seal.
Yet, darkened angels befell the way,
Insecure minds threatened to stray,
Devious Pride forces each to pay,
Heaven and Hell were all in a day.
Pulsating beats of greying thoughts,
Closing eyes to the other's faults,
Each action taken like drawing lots,
The slate with lines and blurry dots.
Potholes filled with sand so quick,
Ravines with clouds, just take your pick
Earth isn't that far, just a stone's kick
On borrowed time your clocks slowly tick.
Accusations and disbelief,
With aching hearts we take our leave,
Anger, spite with no relief,
Separation which leads to lonesome grief.
When pain erupts and sorrow sinks in,
Blood courses through lines so thin,
Raindrops cry with the moaning wind,
Waves and ice break to link.
The ragged heart begs to be sewn,
Chilling rejections freezes the bone,
Flooding waterfalls crash far below,
Night remains with just one tone.
So now the sand the prints it sweeps,
But the marks left there are just too deep,
The Sandman scatters to bring on sleep,
Slain, not dead, close time to weep.
One wish I pray,
He will always be happy,
To laugh in the sun,
Because I love him.
